ReplyDeleteAll of this is because hope wants to be Steffy and have everything she has. Steffy hasnt taken anything from her. The last 'taking' was when Steffy was pregnant and Hope got herself knocked up by a married man to keep him. She begged Steffy to fire Thomas and she did. She went back and begged to have him rehired, which Steffy also did. Carter initiated the last cutting of Hope's line and Steffy over rode them all! Steffy has a supportive hubby and family and runs a company and thinks thats what Finn loves so she plays up being the 'best mom', now she's "running" the company. I'd be shocked if she didnt start chasing Finn again.
DeleteOk Brooke is obviously oblivious to Hope's changed behaviour. She herself knew Hope was on a war path and how she felt unappreciated by Liam because he loved 2 women (Steffy's ex), then adored the guy everyone told her to stay away from (Steffy's brother) then how she can be better for Finn (Steffy's husband) and then Ridge said it... now is in love with Carter (Steffy's fathers best friend) and both her and Carter took (Steffy's family company)... It is obvious that Hope is hurt and her hurt has her spiralling out of control. Brooke needs to realise this is not the same version of Hope that she keeps describing to Ridge.
ReplyDelete@Kae, Taylor spoke to Brooke about HOpe's behaviour a while ago, Brooke knows but she refuses to admit it. Brooke seems to forgets tthat she has other children too but clearly Hopeless is her favourite and she won't admit that her "sweetheart" and "honey" has mental issues 🚩

Hope beeged her to hire him back to save her failing line and then she started 'falling in love ' with her new saviour Thomas.Remember when Liam confronted her she said she was sure he already went crying to Steffy and was angry about that? When Thomas decided to leave she threatened Steffy that she'd get her revenge as well. That was before she started chasing Finn. The Logan defenders cant say one thing that Steffy has attacked Hope for in years besides her failing line which is 100% business.

Brooke believes Hope is the same decent girl full of values even though Hope is blatantly showing her that she is not. I think Brooke is in denial,.

Brooke put meals on all their tables and a pretty chump change in their pockets. They can afford to order pizza everyday from the best pizza joint in tow,. lol. Hope is jealous of that even though she was raised as a princess in a palace with her every whim catered to, Brooke still says poor Hope went through so much growing up! Boo hoo it was so horrid being raised by nannies while mummy was out getting drunk and chasing married men.
Being ex wife to the Forrester men doesn’t entitle Brooke to a legacy.

DeleteWhat you tend to forget is that Brooke has children from Eric, who are more entitled to the Forrester legacy than Ridge Steffi or Thomas. They are the bastard offspring of Stephanie Snr. Give Eric's paternal children some recognition ffs.
The bastard offspring are more entitled to FC Legacy than any of the other of Eric’s children because Stephanie’s fathers money started the business, Ridge designed from learning the business from Eric and Rick took part in running the business too. Hope only had an idea behind her line which doesn’t apply anymore. She is no longer the innocent person that her HFTF represents, she is the little SFTV now and they need to publicize her trying to take over. Once the public knows she and Carter were traitor’s her line will no longer have any buyers.

As well stating to hope that the actions they took by taking over the company isn't a justified decision. And now she is basically telling Ridge it is justified cause they had no choice. She is adamant that Hope is not to blame even though Hope has been telling her that THEY (she and Carter) had to take this step because of how they were treated. Brooke doesn't want to admit that her daughter is just like her. She never wanted Hope to make the same mistakes that she made and now that that's exactly what is happening, she refuses to see it. Instead, she'd rather blame Steffy, forgetting that if Hope had been honest from the start, none of this would be happening.

Elle those are (wishful) speculations. Since Thomas left Hope has been through her Finn era AND hasn't mentioned anything about Thomas. And now she's very much into Carter. Absolutely nothing points that after all this, when Thomas returns, she'll be back on him. It can happen but you're saying it like it's a given when it's not. She had more than ample chances to be with him and didn't want to commit. When last he asked her, it was again no. So unless he suddenly decides he doesn't want to be married, but wants their precious situationship to restart, there is nothing indicating she'll want to be with him again. Especially with Carter in the picture.

DeleteElle, Hope has admitted to multiple people that Thomas wasn’t the right person. As we’ve talked about, Thomas was the beginning of Hope’s fall. She recognizes that relationship WAS NOT HEALTHY. We will see. But absolutely nothing has led us to believe that Hope is missing Thomas.
DeleteMilla, I'm not wishfully speculating anything. As I said to Lynn, I'm going purely based off the last time Thomas was on the show. Hope wanted him back compared to Liam, who she rejected outright.
DeleteFor the record, while I was rooting for Thomas to return and save Hope, she has now gone too far. I don't wish for Thomas to be with her again. She has degraded herself way too much and they are now unequalled matched, in my opinion. Thomas is committed to doing better and Hope is committed to riding the current downward spiral she's on. She simply is no longer good for his mental stability if her goal is to act unethically. Thomas has been there, done that. Makes no sense being with someone who could take him back to that dark place in his life.
Lynn, she had been saying that to people ever since Thomas left but, when he returned with Paris, she changed her tune, didn't she? Hope says a lot of things but rarely ever sticks to what she says.

Again, Brooke is just trying to defend Hope against Ridge’s barrage of attacks. Brooke would be handling things totally differently with Ridge right now if Ridge didn’t have such a hard-on for Hope! He is determined to make Hope the ONLY villain in this situation!

ReplyDeleteElle, i think what Brooke means is that Hope did not come up with this idea. Carter did on his own. Carter didnt have to present the idea to Hope, he could have simply said to himself, no this is wrong, im not doing it and that would have bee that. Carter presented it to an already hurt and fired Hope. They tried on several occasions to have Hope rehired but Steffie and her hate wouldnt allow it.

DeletePeggy, I understand that Carter initiated it but he also had many moments of doubt and guilt because of how the Forresters accepted him as part of their family and, because of his friendship with Ridge. Every single time though, Hope was in his ear about how they didn't listen to his ideas. Hope knew that was a sore point for Carter and she used it to manipulate him. She even kept her hand on his as he signed the papers just in case he changed his mind about signing. Carter's integrity was still at play in the beginning until Hope snuffed it out completely.
DeleteBrooke did not witness that so she doesn't know the extent of Hope's role in the coup. But she does know that Hope played a part and now, she's trying to blame it on Steffy for firing Hope. Hope is a grown woman making her own decisions. And as much as Steffy was wrong for firing Hope, Hope could have found another way to deal with her grievances.
Well Hope and her dishonesty and scheming are what created the situation to begin with! Hope would have been rehired or never fired if she hadn’t refused to tell the truth! Oh but then she wouldn’t have been able to manipulate Carter!

Isn't it hilarious that by telling the truth would have saved Hope from being fired? Can we replay that scenario with Hope admitting, "I really wasn't trying to seduce your husband. I was trying to seduce this other schmuck who happens to be a high level executive here during office hours rather than work on my failing line." Yeah, that's so much better. 🤦🏼♀️🙄

DeleteI really hope Zende walks out on Hope and Carter! He knew the second Hope said she and Carter were dating that the hostile takeover was all about her getting her line back and using Carter to get revenge! He looked disgusted!
The fact that that assumed that he as a Forrester would just work for them seriously??? He couldn’t believe they stole the company!
The Forresters also need to issue a media release stating that the current people in charge were not appointed by them and that they (the Forresters) are not affiliated with any representations or decisions made regarding the company.
DeleteI still don't get why Ridge is blaming this whole company take over on Hope. Carter came up with the plan, drew up the papers. He's the lawyer. He figured out the signature and the LCC angle. Hope doesn't know anything about LCCs. Ridge even looked at the papers and didn't figure it out. Do Ridge and Brooke have a chance as long as Ridge keeps putting all the blame on Hope? If that's what breaks them up, oh well. But I hope they can work it out, and stay together. I understand Brooke wanting to defend her daughter, but wrong is wrong. Hope chose to participate in Carter's despicable underhanded plan. Despite growing up with Eric and Ridge as family. If I was Brooke I would stand by my man. Hope is wrong!
ReplyDeleteIf I were Zende, as much as I would want to continue to design, I wouldn't make any decision until I talked to Eric. Out of respect. I wouldn't want to disrespect my grandfather. The man who has taken me into his home.
And one more thing. Ridge saying Hope is the reason Thomas will need therapy for the rest of his life. Ha! Yeah right. Hope made Thomas do all the psycho things he did? That is as unfair as blaming the parents for every bad thing a person does.

Ridge blames Hope because, in his mind, there is no other plausible reason that Carter would suddenly take left field the way he has.
DeleteWhere the LLC is concerned, that's a legal document. Non-legal minds wouldn't understand the intracacies of it. That's why companies the size of FC have company attorneys and/or a legal department. It's a highly trusted and confidential position. Carter should not have even spoken to Hope about it, much less misrepresent its contents when getting Ridge and Steffy's signatures. It calls for complete transparency.
Regarding Thomas, he was already in therapy and making excellent progress. Soon enough, he would have stopped seeing his therapist. However, with how Hope hurt him, it was probably a setback in Thomas' progress. That's what Ridge meant when he talked about Thomas needing therapy for the rest of his life. It had nothing to do with his previous mental challenges before getting involved with Hope.
I agree with you 💯 about Brooke standing by Ridge. That's what she should be doing.

While I continue to roll my eyes @ the absurd way (I know, I know, poetic license) Carter was able to steal the company, you have shown that most egregious of Carter was him breaking his fiduciary duty which includes attorney-client privilege. The writers are way off if in the very least Carter is not disbarred over this in the future.
