It was hilarious how Ridge and Steffy were so sure Justin will save them, only for him to ask them sarcastically "aren't those your signatures?" 😅
Carter even now holds the controlling interest of those precious shares that everyone keeps throwing in defense of Steffy's professionalism and merit.
What a great episode. This was so similar to when Brooke took over. Eric looked exactly like back then. Finally some excitement.

Elle I didn't say he owns anything. The LLC holds the controlling share and he manages the LLC. As long as he manages, ownership doesn't play a role in power over the company.

DeleteThey could be working together but I can't imagine how - Justin only said that the document is "solid". That's an easy thing to verify by other lawyers and to come out if he's lying. Although it could be interesting if Bill is involved 😁 he was talking on the phone with someone before he saw Luna's letter today.
Carter already got Ridge and Steffy to sign the papers on his own. I don't see why he would he would need to involve anyone else. Unless he plans to move forward with his plans for the company, in which case he would need investors. With him managing the shares, he could distribute (sell) to other people as he sees fit. He should be careful with Justin and Bill though (if he's involved) because they are complete snakes when it comes to business and can remove majority shareholding right from under Carter's nose.

ReplyDeleteI don't know which lawyers Justin conferred with but they are all wrong. No way is this legally binding. For one thing, Carter let Ridge and Steffy sign under false pretenses. Ridge specifically asked Carter why his name was on the papers and he lied about it, allowing them to sign their company away.

Ridge has excellent business sense however, being great at business doesn't mean he knows about legal documents. Companies usually have legal representation for such matters. Bigger companies have an entire legal department.
DeleteThe bottom line is that Carter lied. He offered to draw up new papers instead of giving a reason about why his name was there. Taylor interrupting has absolutely no significant bearing on Ridge signing the papers. As FC's trusted attorney and COO, it was Carter's duty to rightfully represent what was actually in the document. Not only did he breach his employment contract, but he could also be debarred for acting unethically.

Again Peggy, as COO and FC's attorney, it was Carter's job to let Ridge know exactly what he was signing. Taylor is not to be blamed here. As the company lawyer and COO, he is expected to act ethically and with complete transparency. Also, omitting to explain why his name was on the document is lying by omission.
DeleteThe only person I would give some blame to is Steffy. She just signed without reading it and when Ridge was doing his due diligence, she rushed him to sign stating "it's Carter. We trust him." I give her some blame because she had been saying for a while that something was up with Carter and that she was losing faith in him. She fully believed that Hope was in his head somehow yet, she signed without question.
D, everything is Taylor's fault as far as Peggy is concerned. Even with Steffy rushing Ridge to sign the document, it's Taylor's fault.

I really enjoyed seeing Steffy’s look of disbelief and horror as Carter strolled over to the CEO desk. It truly was quite enjoyable for me to see the Queen getting dethroned. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
As far as the way all this has played out, I agree Elle…..it’s not realistic at all. Carter would most likely be on his way to prison, not sliding into the new position of Manager of the LLC. But it’s a soap, and this makes for a better storyline.
Maybe Carter will give Hope some very senior position and demote Steffy, so Hope can boss Steffy around while demeaning her at every turn. Hope has potential to be a snarky bitch just like Steffy if she puts her mind to it. I see a huge dose of karma on the horizon for Steffy.
Luna is wicked for sure. But she is a great actress. She plays the perfect sociopath.

DeleteThe writers lack any authenticity. Notice how the question about their shares wasn't really answered. In California, this LLC paperwork can be filed online. The owners of a company, i.e., the Forresters, APPOINT the manager, therefore, they can file an Amended LLC to correct this 'hostile takeover' or as required, they must file a Statement of Information with the California Secretary of State within 90 days of filing the LLC conversion and again in two years whereby Carter's name obviously would no longer be listed - this is so far-fetched and such an insult to our intelligence but okay let's play along and see what they do with this SL.

DeleteJustin isn't employed by FC. He assists them on an "as needed" basis. Ridge made a deal with him in exchange for not pressing charges when Justin locked up Thomas in a cage. It's why I don't believe Justin helped Carter because, if he did, he would go to jail for breaking that deal.
DeleteDon't forget, Justin dumped Ridge out of a helicopter into the ocean while they were overseas, because Bill wanted Brooke for himseft.

So she tried with Thomas Steffy's brother but she acted too much like a princess, so she tried again with Steffy's new husband but Finn only had eyes for Steffy.
So she fell back on Carter aka Carter HOgan...
But Carter gave false information to Ridge and Steffy so the signatures wouldn't hold up legally and Carter does not even have shares so he is stealing

ReplyDeleteOne would think Carter and Hope would form their own company, but they'd have no assets or leverage to use as collateral for investors. FC is the springboard. Brooke taking over was before I started watching but "history always repeats itself". The writers take an old idea and recycle it. Still makes for interesting plots and exciting twists. I just hope that, in the end, Carter and Hope make their point and everyone "kisses and makes up" until the next disagreement !!!
