What will most probably happen: Brooke will learn about the voice app about 5min into the wedding and storm through the Forrester mansion door,where the wedding will be held, demanding for Ridge to stop the wedding. What many of us wish would happen: Brooke finally having enough and despite learning about Thomas' deception, finally sending Ridge to hell for once again not having trusted her and having treated this way for decades. Not only that these writers have 0 imagination but portraying such begging, desperate, older women is disgraceful and should be banned.

I so hope Ridge stays with Taylor - because I like her but even more because I have hope for Brooke and Bill, finally to have their real chance which can only happen if Ridge is not an option. It can't be again as simple and as fast food as "Douglas spills - Brooke confronts - Ridge returns". It's just not interesting and complicated enough. I think the real and final heartbreak for Brooke will be after she exposes the CPS debacle and Ridge still doesn't leave Taylor, the same as after Stephanie's "heart attack". Only after did he reconsider and search his heart and realize what he feels. But by then she didn't want him anymore. I hope for something like this again. With Bill 🥰

@Elle It's a bit hard for her to examine anything regarding Thomas when he shows up to antagonize her and she starts putting things together. That's Brooke's priority. If the show wanted to have some depth they would put for example Thomas in a position to stop Brooke from drinking and bringing her to a meeting. Then in the meeting Brooke finds Thomas' future love and they meet through her. Anything to change their perspectives of each other, which now is 2 dimensional, each only sees what the other has done wrong to them.

I never said Brooke shouldn't trust Thomas. I am simply saying that it would be nice to see her take some responsibility for a change. She acts like she did absolutely nothing wrong that contributed to where her marriage is today. It's as though Ridge just got up one day and decided that he wanted to be with another woman and she is totally confused because things were going so well. However, we all know that is not the case. Yes, Thomas did what he did but Brooke does not know that.
And I am also sick and tired of her sisters sympathizing with her and talking about her Ridge destiny crapola. They all knew that Ridge left Brooke without any excuse and decided to go with another woman. Then Donna comes home and is so apologetic for Ridge proposing to Taylor. Why???!!! Actually that is exactly “the case”. Ridge asked for the divorce because of the CPS call, not because of Brooke’s and Thomas’s past issues. It was 100% the CPS call that made Ridge ask for a divorce.

Brooke needs to look at her own actions in determining what drove Ridge away from her. The breakdown in her marriage started after NYE and has not been the same since. She defended Deacon over her own husband and more recently, she walked into Thomas' home and went into attack mode with him. Yet she keeps asking why did Ridge leave. How clueless can she be? Prior to the CPS call, Ridge had already been pulling away yet she acts like her marriage was perfect and Ridge leaving was all of a sudden.

Mmysh, Mandy is not the only fan of the show who is complaining about it. Most people are fed up of the repetitive storylines and vilifying of specific characters over and over and over again. The show needs balance. And yes, it's the fault of the writers.
There is a big difference between repeating storylines and when the characters i like doing bad Her i see the complainants only coz things going south for thomas and his family Not because it’s repetitive But of course the shitty writing doesn’t apply for the logens when they screw up indeed its fabulous 😂😂😂😂
Mmysh, I know you have not been here for a while but that is not one bit true. There have always been complaints (almost daily) about the show going downhill, needing to get new writers, the repetitive storylines and about certain characters always getting away with their s*&^t. This is not a new thing and it is definitely not because things are going south for Thomas and his family.
Matter of fact, during Brooke's NYE kiss with Deacon storyline and her subsequent cries of "I don't know what made me drink," there were a lot of complaints about the repetition. And even more recently, during the Taylor/Ridge/Brooke storyline, there were complaints on a daily basis. Not to mention Steffy pushing her parents to be together where her lines were basically the same everyday. Again, lots of complaints. Not sure if you were reading the blog or not.
So true Elle. Because I don't know much about the history of the show I haven't been commenting much. There is still not much to comment about until they move along and stop dragging out 1 storyline for weeks on end.

Mmysh, your first question about who paid for what should be directed at Mandy since my argument with you was about people complaining about the writers and the show. You suggested that the complaints were only because things were going south for Thomas and his family and I refuted that. However, don't you think this never-ending loop of "evil" Thomas is payment enough? He never gets away with any of his deeds. He is always found out. He simmers down for a bit then it's back to evil Thomas again.
Yes, Ridge did leave Brooke for the kiss and other things that happened in their marriage. Happy that you at least acknowledge that Brooke has some responsibility and it is not all Thomas' fault.
I do not want Brooke to go to prison for a kiss. Matter of fact, I've never blamed Brooke for the kiss and was quite vocal about it. My issue with her was that when Ridge left her, she again wanted to blame Taylor and Steffy without looking at the fact that after the kiss, she lied to Ridge then basically told him that he did not have a say in Deacon coming and going as he pleased to HER home. For me, that was what pushed Ridge away, not the kiss.
Regarding likeable characters, the ONLY character I ride hard for (Lynn, don't get any ideas please) is Thomas. Yes, I like Taylor and Steffy as well but I do call them out on their misdeeds all the time. Thomas, otoh, I believe is misunderstood. And I have yet to see him revert to the behaviour he exhibited pre-brain tumor. I maintain that after Brooke walked into his home and attacked him, he retaliated by calling CPS. Anyone, including persons in their right minds, would get angry and want to lash out and would go to the extreme to get back at the person. So, for me, that is all it is with Thomas. There is no obsession or crazy behaviour. And him telling Douglas to keep the secret. Again, anyone who has done something they know is wrong would not want it to be found it. Didn't Brooke try to get Douglas to keep her kiss with Deacon a secret? Was she crazy and psycho for doing that? Did she treat Douglas horribly for doing that? Yet, somehow, Thomas is the worst there is because he told his son not to tell. It's the same level of hypocrisy that you claim to dislike that is happening now.
You're right about Brooke being totally wrong in making Douglas be silent, but knowing the circumstances - alcohol-enduced kiss that never would have happened any other way vs very premeditated, criminal deed on Thomas part, you see why it's treated differently by individuals. Intent matters very much.
Sorry Milla, but to me, the circumstances don’t change the fact that, Brooke manipulated Douglas into keeping her secret, and so did Thomas.. it’s that simple.. They both manipulated Douglas into keeping quiet for their own agendas , so you can try to “justify” Brookes reason for doing it, any which way, but they both did the same thing, only Brooke got away with it as usual, and Thomas won’t as usual.. Brooke kissed Deacon while drunk, lied about it and tried to shut Douglas up about it. Thomas set Brooke up, lied about it and is now trying to shut Douglas up about it. It's that simple. Neither of them were right in what they did and intent has nothing to do with it.
Hey I'm not justifying Brooke! The behavior towards Douglas is wrong in both cases. Only saying why people treat the cause of that behavior differently: the circumstances matter and also what is at stake - hiding a kiss vs hiding a criminal deed. Thomas knows (or should know because he's not 11) that Brooke can involve authorities and get him in a real jam for impersonating her, with criminal intent. Of course she won't but she would be justified to.

Brook should’ve stayed out of the douclas situation but that also goes for steffy and Taylor
If its ok for them to interfere so it should ok for her

I never said Brooke shouldn't trust Thomas. I am simply saying that it would be nice to see her take some responsibility for a change. She acts like she did absolutely nothing wrong that contributed to where her marriage is today. It's as though Ridge just got up one day and decided that he wanted to be with another woman and she is totally confused because things were going so well. However, we all know that is not the case. Yes, Thomas did what he did but Brooke does not know that.

Actually that is exactly “the case”. Ridge asked for the divorce because of the CPS call, not because of Brooke’s and Thomas’s past issues. It was 100% the CPS call that made Ridge ask for a divorce.

DeleteBrooke needs to look at her own actions in determining what drove Ridge away from her. The breakdown in her marriage started after NYE and has not been the same since. She defended Deacon over her own husband and more recently, she walked into Thomas' home and went into attack mode with him. Yet she keeps asking why did Ridge leave. How clueless can she be? Prior to the CPS call, Ridge had already been pulling away yet she acts like her marriage was perfect and Ridge leaving was all of a sudden.

There have always been complaints (almost daily) about the show going downhill, needing to get new writers, the repetitive storylines and about certain characters always getting away with their s*&^t. This is not a new thing and it is definitely not because things are going south for Thomas and his family.

Matter of fact, during Brooke's NYE kiss with Deacon storyline and her subsequent cries of "I don't know what made me drink," there were a lot of complaints about the repetition. And even more recently, during the Taylor/Ridge/Brooke storyline, there were complaints on a daily basis. Not to mention Steffy pushing her parents to be together where her lines were basically the same everyday. Again, lots of complaints. Not sure if you were reading the blog or not.

Mmysh, your first question about who paid for what should be directed at Mandy since my argument with you was about people complaining about the writers and the show. You suggested that the complaints were only because things were going south for Thomas and his family and I refuted that. However, don't you think this never-ending loop of "evil" Thomas is payment enough? He never gets away with any of his deeds. He is always found out. He simmers down for a bit then it's back to evil Thomas again.
DeleteYes, Ridge did leave Brooke for the kiss and other things that happened in their marriage. Happy that you at least acknowledge that Brooke has some responsibility and it is not all Thomas' fault.
I do not want Brooke to go to prison for a kiss. Matter of fact, I've never blamed Brooke for the kiss and was quite vocal about it. My issue with her was that when Ridge left her, she again wanted to blame Taylor and Steffy without looking at the fact that after the kiss, she lied to Ridge then basically told him that he did not have a say in Deacon coming and going as he pleased to HER home. For me, that was what pushed Ridge away, not the kiss.
Regarding likeable characters, the ONLY character I ride hard for (Lynn, don't get any ideas please) is Thomas. Yes, I like Taylor and Steffy as well but I do call them out on their misdeeds all the time. Thomas, otoh, I believe is misunderstood. And I have yet to see him revert to the behaviour he exhibited pre-brain tumor. I maintain that after Brooke walked into his home and attacked him, he retaliated by calling CPS. Anyone, including persons in their right minds, would get angry and want to lash out and would go to the extreme to get back at the person. So, for me, that is all it is with Thomas. There is no obsession or crazy behaviour. And him telling Douglas to keep the secret. Again, anyone who has done something they know is wrong would not want it to be found it. Didn't Brooke try to get Douglas to keep her kiss with Deacon a secret? Was she crazy and psycho for doing that? Did she treat Douglas horribly for doing that? Yet, somehow, Thomas is the worst there is because he told his son not to tell. It's the same level of hypocrisy that you claim to dislike that is happening now.

DeleteYou're right about Brooke being totally wrong in making Douglas be silent, but knowing the circumstances - alcohol-enduced kiss that never would have happened any other way vs very premeditated, criminal deed on Thomas part, you see why it's treated differently by individuals. DeleteBrooke kissed Deacon while drunk, lied about it and tried to shut Douglas up about it. Thomas set Brooke up, lied about it and is now trying to shut Douglas up about it. It's that simple. Neither of them were right in what they did and intent has nothing to do with it.
Hey I'm not justifying Brooke! The behavior towards Douglas is wrong in both cases. Only saying why people treat the cause of that behavior differently: the circumstances matter and also what is at stake - hiding a kiss vs hiding a criminal deed. Thomas knows (or should know because he's not 11) that Brooke can involve authorities and get him in a real jam for impersonating her, with criminal intent. Of course she won't but she would be justified to.

@Elle clearly that's not enough punishment. The punishment for that is jail. It's not enough punishment b/c all Thomas has learned is to conceal it harder. Any other person would have gone to jail. This story line is silly/ridiculous. Annoying at best.
