Liam was quite okay with Thomas coming over to spend time with Douglas at the cabin. He was even comfortable with Thomas being around Douglas and Hope without him even being around. Now, all of a sudden, he has an issue with Thomas.

Thomas is the head designer so it was nice of him to mention Zende’s contribution. Hope looked right at Zende when she mentioned the whole team! She acknowledged Ridge’s “fashion god” statement about Zende lol.

Liam really isn't smart. He needed to be there for Hope today, of all days! However, it seems he cannot forget about Thomas for just one day. His hatred for Thomas is a lot stronger than his love for Hope. That was very apparent today.

Hope needs to exercise some restraint where Thomas is concerned. She knows how Liam feels about her and Thomas becoming so close yet, there she is hugging it out with Thomas.
At this point I can't buy in the show that Thomas is manipulating / "forcing" Hope to be close to him because he wants to spend time with his son or do his job... no matter how many times Lame, Broke and the writers want to force that down my throat. Hope is a GROWN woman who basically has zero braincells if she thinks her hugging and being close to Thomas on the regular, with his previous obsession she knows he had, is a good idea if she DOESN'T want him to get the wrong idea. Her subconsciously being attracted to him or wanting him around bc he offers smth Lame doesn't make more sense from a writing and character standpoint, and doesn't make her look like a naive bimbo. You can only use Douglas as an excuse for so long. She isn't innocent.
Hope definitely isn't innocent. Thomas is pushing the boundaries with her to see how far he can go and Hope is being a very willing participant. She knows how her husband feels so she needs to be cognizant of that.

I agree ladies, other than the cps Thomas has not shown anything other than support to Hope, and treats her like a woman, not a child.. Agree Colly, it's a two way street. For months Liam has only really talked with Brooke about his feelings towards Thomas. He only confronts Hope with condescending remarks making her feel like a child . She is loving Thomas's support. Something Liam is lacking. His support is with Brooke.

@Unknown Brooke and Liam have not been very kind to Hope and, more and more, she is becoming quite disenchanted with their treatment of her. She just might be able to empathize with Thomas once the CPS call comes to light. Matter of fact, Thomas might confess to Hope what he did as they start to get closer.
And even if he does not confess and Hope finds out from either Brooke or Liam, I can see her defending Thomas as she always does. Hope, of all people, knows the hatred that her husband and mother have for Thomas and she might feel that Thomas had no choice in doing what he did to get back at the way Brooke had been acting toward him.

At this point I can't buy in the show that Thomas is manipulating / "forcing" Hope to be close to him because he wants to spend time with his son or do his job... no matter how many times Lame, Broke and the writers want to force that down my throat. Hope is a GROWN woman who basically has zero braincells if she thinks her hugging and being close to Thomas on the regular, with his previous obsession she knows he had, is a good idea if she DOESN'T want him to get the wrong idea. Her subconsciously being attracted to him or wanting him around bc he offers smth Lame doesn't make more sense from a writing and character standpoint, and doesn't make her look like a naive bimbo. You can only use Douglas as an excuse for so long. She isn't innocent.
ReplyDeleteHope definitely isn't innocent. Thomas is pushing the boundaries with her to see how far he can go and Hope is being a very willing participant. She knows how her husband feels so she needs to be cognizant of that.

He lifts her up the way a man should, in every aspect of her life, as partner in work and as a mother, and who she is as a woman as a whole..The total opposite of how Liam is treating her.. Yes, I think he is testing the waters with her, because he truly loves her, but he hasn’t done anything disrespectful to her.. Liam could not even be there for her for one thing, one of the most important thing, so he has no one to blame but himself.. Thomas really listens to Hope, Liam doesn’t.. The only thing I would say is what you said Elle, she does need to be cognisant of how Liam is feeling, but it’s hard when Liam is not doing the same for her!!
DeleteAgree Colly, it's a two way street. For months Liam has only really talked with Brooke about his feelings towards Thomas. He only confronts Hope with condescending remarks making her feel like a child . She is loving Thomas's support. Something Liam is lacking. His support is with Brooke.

She should not have been involved in that conversation at all, and she treated her like a little child, while Liam stood behind her and let her fight his battle for him.. and there should not have been a battle today.. Liam is the one acting like a child.. Brooke knew what stress Hope was under at that moment.. If Brooke didn’t say anything, I think Liam might have let it go for them… Poor Hope, the respiration in her eyes, and having to begg Liam to support her.. The other thing is Brooke wished him luck with what he was about to tell Hope and clean supported his decision! She BLOODY well KNEW!!! How could she not tell her SIL how important this day is to Hope. Sure they all love the line but it is departure from the norm for HFTF and it’s make or break on this one. Brooke knows that Hope will need Liam if it flops. She knows that honestly, HFTF is ALL Hope has. The only one showing confidence in her abilities at work, as a mother, as a grown woman. What Thomas did in retaliation to Brooke was unkind. Given Brooke and Liam’s current actions and hanging up on Hope and their selfish relentless hate campaign.. I can see Hope forgiving Thomas. She also rightfully sees that Ridge and Brooke are a toxic combo and that her mother needs a man who won’t just end their marriage without telling her why.
Hope had said s few times now that it’s a good thing she and Ridge are ending their marriage. Brooke was aghast at that.
We shall see but I have a feeling she won’t show Thomas the door when she finds out.
@Unknown Brooke and Liam have not been very kind to Hope and, more and more, she is becoming quite disenchanted with their treatment of her. She just might be able to empathize with Thomas once the CPS call comes to light. Matter of fact, Thomas might confess to Hope what he did as they start to get closer.
