Ridge was spot on… they want different things for themselves and their children. Their relationship has been a power struggle with Brooke demanding Ridge give her children this and that. That he choose them over his own and giving ultimatums that he he could have her or be a father but not both.
They have always had a toxic relationship. One or both cheating with other people, hurting each other. Enough already. Brooke he won’t tell you what happened. Stop begging him to come back. If he will just walk away from you and jump into bed and relationship with his ex wife why are hanging on for that! At the end of the day they have the same issues decades later they have had whenever they were together before. Neither can fully commit to the other. There is always an ex or whatever that tugs in the heartstrings or g-string lol! 😈

It sounds like Bell is going to plan this exposure to happen just right when Ridge & Taylor start to tie the knot.

Ridge doesn't have to get the CPS guy in trouble, but truthfully, the CPS guy should be fired for what he did. CPS quickly determined Douglas was in a safe situation & closed the case. So, no harm done. All Ridge had to say to Brooke is that he believes she made the call to CPS because she threatened to do so. He can add that no one else had a motive.

Even if you don't like Brooke, you can feel a little bit sorry for her. It's one thing if she knew what she did. She could try to explain or ask for forgiveness. Ridge won't even give her a reason. That is just messed up. After the long history they have, that go back even longer than the clips they showed (because Ridge was played by a different actor from the beginning of the show). He owes her a reason. Even when it does come out what Thomas did and that it wasn't Brooke, she should not get back with Ridge. Maybe this is a sign that they should be over for good. And really Steffy, with that smile when Ridge first mentioned the annulment. So nasty and insensitive to your father who is clearly dealing with some conflicting emotions.

Steffy has her mad night with Bill, gets preggers, paternity test drama and Liam cools his heels at a hotel.
Enter our villain! Brooke couldn’t wait to call Hope in Milan. Steffy and Liam are having marriage troubles get to Los Angeles quick smart and claim your destiny!!
Hope literally returned to Los Angeles to break up that marriage permanently. She went straight to Liam and told him she came back for him, he deserved better than Steffy etc.
Brooke spent hours pushing Hope, citing destiny and how undeserving Steffy was.
Hope moves Liam into the cabin so he can “think” and be with friends. Dropping by, kissing and touching him and making nasty comments about his PREGNANT wife.
Likewise Brooke puts pressure on Liam to dump Steffy, calls her all sorts of names and pushes him at Hope.
Bill plays silly buggers with Wyatt, having Justin set up a fake affair scene when Steffy went to the office to sign the final purchase papers for the cliff house (partly because she wanted to be able to change the locks and keep him from stalking her at her home).
Liam left Hope and the minute he found out he’d been tricked by Bill. He broke things off with Hope who was still trying to marry him even though she knew he had only been with her from anger at what he thought Steffy did (tricked to the altar, sound familiar??)
Liam asked Steffy to marry him and went home to her and their daughter!
Hope then pretended it was her idea to save face. Yet actively pursued Liam. Making out in dressing rooms, throwing herself at him constantly, while his finance was home taking care of their newborn and being harassed by Bill. Hope all the while was being pushed by Brooke to claim her destiny 🤮.
When Hope found out she was pregnant she and Brooke were even more horrid to Steffy. They demanded Liam leave her and give Hope her perfect pregnancy and that he marry her, because it’s her turn now.
Brooke was the mastermind behind destroying that marriage. She knew Liam loved Steffy and just needed time to work through things. (Sound familiar??? Brooke never cheated on Ridge l, sleeping with another man, oh wait yes she did.) Hope and Brooke worked together to break them up for good, they were nasty to Steffy and bad mouthed her to her husband around the clock while Hope flung herself at him every chance.
Yet LFs were cheering her mmmm them in the whole time!!
Apparently marriage is only sacred and those who mess with it evil etc when it’s Logans. Forresters are fair game!!!
All that said, Steffy never throws that in their faces. Especially when Hope goes to her to tell her off. I thought the same thing when Brooke went to Taylor to warn her off Ridge the minute she came to town. Brooke was paranoid about Taylor and Steffy doing something because she and Hope did it to them years before!!
The hypocrisy is just stunning. So again no sympathy for Brooke the master home-wrecker and St Hope has a very tarnished Halo.
You filled me in on a lot of things before I started watching. So Hope isn't the sweet person who wants to see the good in everyone. That changes the whole message of what HFTF represents.
@D That changed when Hope shacked up with a married Liam then turned to drugs when her fans started calling her out on her behaviour. The line never really picked back up after that. This is why the preview was such a big deal. It was Hope revamping and rebranding the line. It now represents strength and versatility as opposed to what it was before, which was purity and values.
Ladies couldn’t have said it any better!! 👏👏👏👏👏 and Brooks doesn’t stop at breaking up marriages and families for just her own wants, she does it for others as well, which makes her even more “evil”.. Something unrelated but I'm watching old episodes now and some are missing: can someone explain to me (in the very detailed way you guys can 🤗🤗) what exactly happened between Ridge and Shauna? I'm watching now when she returned from Vegas with papers showing they got married and saying he filed for divorce before that. And the Quinn was saying that he must never know "what they did". What did they do? How did they trap him into marrying her?
Milla, after he was humiliated at the reunion party for him and Brooke, and the video of Brooke kissing Bill was shown, he left the party, and long story short, went to Vegas on the Forrester jet, was at Shauna’s apartment, got very drunk, and Shauna wanted to take him out on a night out on the town to party, but Quinn called Shauna, and told her to send a text from Ridges phone to Carter, telling him to give Brooke divorce papers, then while he was blind drunk, get him to one of the chapels in Vegas to get married.. Shauna didn’t want to do it, but Quinn convinced her and did it.. When Brooke got the papers she found out where he went by the Forrester jet, and told the pilots to find him and get him back to LA, which they did.. He woke up at Erics the next morning, not knowing they got married, and Shauna said nothing.. Shauna came back to LA way later down the track to show tell him and show him the marriage certificate..

Also very lovely to watch the first moments of Steffy and Finns romance 🥰 I felt bad for her when Liam proposed to Hope in their living room in front of her, she didn't deserve that, especially after she told the truth about Thomas and that kiss she and Liam shared :/ Steffy really had some very noble moments, I give her credit.

Steffy is straight up, Hope hides her behaviour behind a veil of her message for HFTF.. She presents herself in this, light of “purity and goodness”, but turn the lights off and watch the movie and you see a very different Hope!!

@Milla Sorry gave you the wrong link, anyway he flew to Vegas because he caught Brooke kissing Bill, so he decided to be with Shauna, so they decided to paint the town (I think it was also Shauna's birthday also but not sure), they went to shows and got drunk and as they were walking around the town they stopped at a wedding chapel and got married
What they did was that Shauna, at Quinn's behest, went into Ridge's phone and sent a text to Carter telling him to file the divorce papers that he and Brooke had signed previously but had not filed. By doing that, Shauna was then able to marry a very drunk Ridge in Vegas. At the end of it all, Carter had not filed the papers because he did not want to act on just a text. As such, Ridge and Shauna's marriage was deemed null and void since Ridge and Brooke were still married.

There's no love lost between Steffy and Brooke (even though she would defend her at times) so I'm not surprised by her smile. It wasn't that she was happy that Brooke received the papers, it was about what it meant, which is that her parents are now free to marry, and she was happy about that.
Steffy may not like Brooke but she does not hate her. It would be interesting to see what her reaction to Thomas would be when the CPS debacle is revealed. She has already warned him about becoming obsessed with Hope again and somehow, I don't think she will be pleased. Honestly… one gets annulments when one of the parties lacked capacity to enter into the marriage ( ie. not of legal age or mental incapacity), duress was involved, deception or lack of consummation occurs. None of these apply here! Maybe something else depending on jurisdiction.

You're right... And do you remember how much better researched the show was in the early years. I sometimes watch episodes and I'm mind-blown at the difference. The way they were talking - about fashion, science, legal stuff, wasn't like specialized dramas do, but still very very adequate for a soap. I don't get it, with the informational age at our fingertips now it's so embarrassing, and back then it required real work to be that thorough. And they had many more characters and storylines.

Well I feel for Brooke. Ridge totally at fault here for not telling Brooke the reason for the annulment. Really Ridge should have more respect for his wife than that. I have to ask, once again, which episode ot at least which year was thus? Because I don't believe for one second Brooke hired someone to rape anyone, this did not happen but like many times here I'm willing to bet a lot is twisting whatever really happened. And this particular one is beyond nasty and I'm so tired of reading it without any proof whatsoever. If there is any truth to that - that Brooke hired a person to go and instructed them to rape another woman - I'd like to watch that episode myself.

ReplyDeleteRidge was spot on… they want different things for themselves and their children. Their relationship has been a power struggle with Brooke demanding Ridge give her children this and that. That he choose them over his own and giving ultimatums that he he could have her or be a father but not both.
They have always had a toxic relationship. One or both cheating with other people, hurting each other. Enough already. Brooke he won’t tell you what happened. Stop begging him to come back. If he will just walk away from you and jump into bed and relationship with his ex wife why are hanging on for that! At the end of the day they have the same issues decades later they have had whenever they were together before. Neither can fully commit to the other. There is always an ex or whatever that tugs in the heartstrings or g-string lol! 😈

So, no harm done. All Ridge had to say to Brooke is that he believes she made the call to CPS because she threatened to do so. He can add that no one else had a motive.

DeleteEven if you don't like Brooke, you can feel a little bit sorry for her. It's one thing if she knew what she did. She could try to explain or ask for forgiveness. Ridge won't even give her a reason. That is just messed up. After the long history they have, that go back even longer than the clips they showed (because Ridge was played by a different actor from the beginning of the show). He owes her a reason. Even when it does come out what Thomas did and that it wasn't Brooke, she should not get back with Ridge. Maybe this is a sign that they should be over for good. And really Steffy, with that smile when Ridge first mentioned the annulment. So nasty and insensitive to your father who is clearly dealing with some conflicting emotions.

Steffy has her mad night with Bill, gets preggers, paternity test drama and Liam cools his heels at a hotel.
Enter our villain! Brooke couldn’t wait to call Hope in Milan. Steffy and Liam are having marriage troubles get to Los Angeles quick smart and claim your destiny!!
Hope literally returned to Los Angeles to break up that marriage permanently. She went straight to Liam and told him she came back for him, he deserved better than Steffy etc.
Brooke spent hours pushing Hope, citing destiny and how undeserving Steffy was.
Hope moves Liam into the cabin so he can “think” and be with friends. Dropping by, kissing and touching him and making nasty comments about his PREGNANT wife.
Likewise Brooke puts pressure on Liam to dump Steffy, calls her all sorts of names and pushes him at Hope.
Bill plays silly buggers with Wyatt, having Justin set up a fake affair scene when Steffy went to the office to sign the final purchase papers for the cliff house (partly because she wanted to be able to change the locks and keep him from stalking her at her home).
Liam and Hope cheat on Steffy and sleep together. Hope for the enth time makes plans to marry Liam while he’s still married to Steffy.

Hope was horrid to Steffy demanding she sign the annulment, like her marriage of years, that NO grounds for annulment , never happened.

Liam left Hope and the minute he found out he’d been tricked by Bill. He broke things off with Hope who was still trying to marry him even though she knew he had only been with her from anger at what he thought Steffy did (tricked to the altar, sound familiar??)

Brooke was the mastermind behind destroying that marriage. She knew Liam loved Steffy and just needed time to work through things. (Sound familiar??? Brooke never cheated on Ridge l, sleeping with another man, oh wait yes she did.) Hope and Brooke worked together to break them up for good, they were nasty to Steffy and bad mouthed her to her husband around the clock while Hope flung herself at him every chance.
Yet LFs were cheering her mmmm them in the whole time!!

This is why the preview was such a big deal. It was Hope revamping and rebranding the line. It now represents strength and versatility as opposed to what it was before, which was purity and values.

I'm watching now when she returned from Vegas with papers showing they got married and saying he filed for divorce before that. And the Quinn was saying that he must never know "what they did". What did they do? How did they trap him into marrying her?
ReplyDeleteMilla, after he was humiliated at the reunion party for him and Brooke, and the video of Brooke kissing Bill was shown, he left the party, and long story short, went to Vegas on the Forrester jet, was at Shauna’s apartment, got very drunk, and Shauna wanted to take him out on a night out on the town to party, but Quinn called Shauna, and told her to send a text from Ridges phone to Carter, telling him to give Brooke divorce papers, then while he was blind drunk, get him to one of the chapels in Vegas to get married.. Shauna didn’t want to do it, but Quinn convinced her and did it.. When Brooke got the papers she found out where he went by the Forrester jet, and told the pilots to find him and get him back to LA, which they did.. He woke up at Erics the next morning, not knowing they got married, and Shauna said nothing.. Shauna came back to LA way later down the track to show tell him and show him the marriage certificate..

But once you see that there are reasons why Steffy and Hope have such a strained relationship, and Steffy is not being a bitch for no reason.. I highly recommend you watch the episodes that Bbfan described above, and it will give a very good reason why FFans hate on Brooke and Hope so much.. Steffy is straight up, Hope hides her behaviour behind a veil of her message for HFTF.. She presents herself in this, light of “purity and goodness”, but turn the lights off and watch the movie and you see a very different Hope!!

Delete@Milla Sorry gave you the wrong link, anyway he flew to Vegas because he caught Brooke kissing Bill, so he decided to be with Shauna, so they decided to paint the town (I think it was also Shauna's birthday also but not sure), they went to shows and got drunk and as they were walking around the town they stopped at a wedding chapel and got married
DeleteWhat they did was that Shauna, at Quinn's behest, went into Ridge's phone and sent a text to Carter telling him to file the divorce papers that he and Brooke had signed previously but had not filed. By doing that, Shauna was then able to marry a very drunk Ridge in Vegas. At the end of it all, Carter had not filed the papers because he did not want to act on just a text. As such, Ridge and Shauna's marriage was deemed null and void since Ridge and Brooke were still married.

Ridge is such a douchebag!!! I can see Brooke is extremely sad, but she’s also starting to get mad at this point, and she has every right to be. The whole annulment thing is so ridiculous! An annulment would never happen after they’ve been married that long. And my understanding of annulments is that they are only granted under very specific circumstances. Ridge’s and Brooke’s circumstances don’t fall into that category.
Taylor sure has been MIA a lot lately. Not complaining! Just an observation. And whomever said weeks ago that Thomas was “starting to feel guilty about the CPS call” was just straight up wrong! Psychos don’t feel guilt or empathy. He truly is a sociopath as far as I’m concerned! The Logan fans have been saying for months that Ridge is gonna be furious with Thomas and is gonna try to get Brooke back once this all comes out. DeleteThere's no love lost between Steffy and Brooke (even though she would defend her at times) so I'm not surprised by her smile. It wasn't that she was happy that Brooke received the papers, it was about what it meant, which is that her parents are now free to marry, and she was happy about that.
Steffy may not like Brooke but she does not hate her. It would be interesting to see what her reaction to Thomas would be when the CPS debacle is revealed. She has already warned him about becoming obsessed with Hope again and somehow, I don't think she will be pleased. DeletePet peeve here… so wish the writers did some research on legal stuff. Honestly… one gets annulments when one of the parties lacked capacity to enter into the marriage ( ie. not of legal age or mental incapacity), duress was involved, deception or lack of consummation occurs. None of these apply here! Maybe something else depending on jurisdiction.

Get a bloody divorce. I’m sure they had ironclad prenups etc. I understand the statement Ridge is making with the annulment that they weren’t really married.
I guess it’s ironic since Brooke is the one that pushed Liam and Steffy’s annulment so he could marry Hope before Kelly was born and he could change his mind again!
Bbfan they need to hire a studious writer but it's probably not in their budget. Haven't watched the past couple of days but you ladies keep me up to date. 👏 and see I haven't missed anything.
DeleteYou're right... And do you remember how much better researched the show was in the early years. I sometimes watch episodes and I'm mind-blown at the difference. The way they were talking - about fashion, science, legal stuff, wasn't like specialized dramas do, but still very very adequate for a soap. I don't get it, with the informational age at our fingertips now it's so embarrassing, and back then it required real work to be that thorough. And they had many more characters and storylines.

Well I feel for Brooke. Ridge totally at fault here for not telling Brooke the reason for the annulment. Really Ridge should have more respect for his wife than that. Brooke really getting bashed first by Sheila deviously giving her the alcohol shot and now Ridge covering up the reason for the annulment. Not fair !!!

Because I don't believe for one second Brooke hired someone to rape anyone, this did not happen but like many times here I'm willing to bet a lot is twisting whatever really happened. And this particular one is beyond nasty and I'm so tired of reading it without any proof whatsoever. If there is any truth to that - that Brooke hired a person to go and instructed them to rape another woman - I'd like to watch that episode myself.
