Wow I caught this episode early to night. No ways I think Hope is going to hold back. Sigh.
ReplyDeleteTaylor wearing a fake baby bump too? Playing it both ways, look pregnant yet clothes falling off. (Too old for either.) The green dress Brooke was wearing that looked like she'd been slaked. (Remember Radar O'reilly had something happen to him, he wasn't sure what it was but his hair was messed up and his uniform, too. some nurse was "all over him." but too dark to see in the tent.)

Ridge looked terrible with that orange leather jacket and Brooke with her jacket too and Taylor with that sweater falling off from the sides... Gee.. how ugly.
@Tina Well, these days the TV land has cut their expenses in wearing well designer clothes and wearing possibly something from a Walmart or Target store. Their taste of clothes these days has a lot to be desired.

DeleteI don't have any words to describe Liam today, well I do but don't think this is the place. Can't believe what he said to Hope. It's gotta be his way or no way at all. He is almost becoming dangerously controlling and obsessive. Pretty soon he won't let her go to the office or out with friends, not that I've seen her with any.
ReplyDeleteAgreed D. Liam is pretty bad. To know that he can't even be supportive of his wife for such a big event should tell Hope everything she needs to know. He has gone past being obssessed and is completely paranoid now.
DeleteLiam had his chance to go along to Rome, but he turned it down because he didn't "want to be that guy who has to chaperone his wife". But he would rather stay at home and obsess about Hope and Thomas until he loses his mind. And what a jerk to start the same fight with Hope when she probably has a lot to worry about. This is going to be a big important event for Forrester Creations and HFTF. She should not have to deal with whiney Liam adding more stress.
ReplyDeleteBased on Liam's thoughts at the end where he saw Hope on Thomas' lap, then remembered Steffy telling him that Hope might have feelings for Thomas, and then remembering Hope telling him that she wants Thomas there, I think Liam's concerns might be more about his wife than Thomas!

DeleteOh Mmysh.... speaking for myself, I never stated that Hope did not want Liam there, I was curious as to why she invited Thomas and not her husband when Thomas thanked her the other day for inviting him on the trip. Also, when Liam was trying to get Hope to ditch Thomas, she flat out told him that she was not going to do that because she wanted Thomas there. Those were her words.

This was the first time I was really disappointed in Liam’s behavior!! Hope extended a very sincere invitation and Liam turned it down!! This was his perfect opportunity to get what he wanted and spend time with his wife in Rome, and he blew it!! And you could just see the disappointment on Hope’s face! There was no way Thomas was going to be uninvited at this stage in the game! Come on Liam!!! The dye is cast and Thomas is going! Quit being a wanker and accept Hope’s invitation! Now she has left very upset with you…and now you truly are gonna go to spy on your wife! Not cool, dude, not cool!!!
Lynn that was really disappointing of Liam. But I also loved the bit about Hope’s invitation. They could have skipped it, could have had her said it and obviously not want it, they could have turned it around and had him fish for an invitation and make it a thing that she pushes back, but instead she really extended a very real invite to him and she wanted him to go. I can’t imagine what Deacon will say that will speak to his heart more than Hope :/ and talk about excessive jet fuel being wasted to Rome (!!), because I bet he won’t fly commercial but will catch his daddy’s jet. Just for himself 😅 Mr Environment.

DeleteMilla, I honestly think Liam was a bit broadsided by the invite from Hope. He has been told by Wyatt and Steffy he should go, but said to them both that he just didn’t want to be “that guy who goes to keep an eye on his wife” or whatever his exact words were?? So when Hope invited him at the 11th hour, he just parroted back what he had said to others about going rather than thinking…’Hey, Hope wants me there with her to share this exciting time with her! What a big gesture that was on Hope’s part.’ But again, I just think Liam was broadsided by the invite from his wife. Not that that is any excuse! He totally blew it there. But it would have been nice if Hope would have thought of this a few days ago instead of as she is ready to get on the plane!! Lol

Please be clear though, I am NOT SAYING Hope is in love with Thomas, because I do not think she is. But when she acts all attitudinal and indignant with him while she is having these completely inappropriate thoughts about Thomas, that is simply NOT OK!! Hope is the one who has been behaving badly in her mind. All you ladies are mad at Liam because he’s trying to get to the bottom of it. That’s absurd! DeleteLynn, Liam has been showing his true colours for a while now. I don't think it was a sincere invite from Hope. That seemed to be her only way out to keeping him happy but it still wasn't good enough and she is realizing this now. He has never been supportive or trusting of her or her decisions. Hope is not playing him for a fool. He's the main reason she is feeling this way, and is now seeing Liam for who he really is, and maybe wants to be treated like a strong independent women, supported, and not treated like a child all the time. Thomas gives her that and there is definitely chemistry there and I don't see that with Liam anymore. Just my opinion.

D - I don’t agree. Hope has told Liam 20 times in the last 2 weeks that she loves him more than anything. Like I told Elle, those aren’t the words you use when you are falling out of love with your husband or when you want out of your marriage. Going back and forth on this point gets us nowhere. I believe Hope absolutely loves and adores Liam with all her heart. I think she is mad at him right now for the reasons I mentioned above (what happened right before she left for her trip.) And as I said, I don’t think he handled himself well in today’s episode at all. But everyone will get over it and Hope and Liam will be just fine! And hopefully after Rome, this whole thing with Hope thinking about Thomas is completely a thing of the past and they (Hope and Liam) are back to being 100% on track. That’s the way I’m expecting this to turn out. I do expect something to happen in Rome, but nothing even close to what you ladies are predicting. I expect it to create a new beginning for Hope and Liam.

DeleteIf we look at the bigger picture, nothing that may happen between Hope and Thomas will ever last. So for his sake (and hers and their families) - what's even the point to hope for it? So that Thomas gets his hopes up again and goes down another spiral when Hope inevitably wakes up and realizes Liam is her man and always was? Because that is the end of it and everyone knows it. Even if by some insane cruel development Liam and Hope do divorce. It's like for Taylor - she got Ridge this way and we know how it ended. The pain is then even bigger when the person does some big dramatic steps to be with you only to realize (because of someone's intervention or because of their own real feelings) that it's not it and poof, bye. But I also don't believe it will come to that, I just paint a picture that the worst scenario for Hope and Liam is not the best one for Thomas.
And I also don't know what any of her kids should be so grateful to Taylor for. She was not there for most of their major life events and crises and nobody can convince me her Fake doctors without borders was worth it. And when she was there her ineptitude was visible. Her solution to Steffy's marriage problems - to shoot Bill 😂🙈 her treatment of Thomas - over Skype once a week 😅

If Liam did not get on Hope every minute when they're alone, whatever initial feelings she had for Thomas in the beginning, would have been gone by now. But the more Liam rants about Thomas, the further he pushes Hope toward him. As Colly said recently, her husband keeps putting her down and Thomas keeps liftinng her up. Obviously, she will gravitate toward Thomas. Add the fact, that Thomas' changes are genuine, which is something Hope had been wanting to see in him for a while now. She has always wanted him to be a better man and father to Douglas. If Hope walks away from Liam, he will have noone to blame but himself. His own brother told him that he should not bring up Thomas when he's alone with Hope.
DeleteI'm not only liking Hope because she is with Thomas. I've always said that I started liking Hope since this new actress took over the role. Annika brings a lot more maturity to the Hope character and that has always been a plus for me, even before Thomas.

DeleteI cannot speak to what may or may not happen in the future, especially in regards to whether or not Lope or Thope are endgame but, for right now, Liam does not deserve Hope. Hope has been attracted to Thomas and has even grown feelings for him (self-professed) BUT she has been totally committed to her marriage. She has not acted on her feelings and she has made every effort to make Liam feel secure yet, he continues to not trust her judgement where Thomas is concerned. How much more of that can she take?
DeleteHFTF isn't going anywhere, which means that Thomas will be a part of the line for the foreseeable future. If Liam cannot accept Thomas working so closely with his wife and continues to belabour Hope about it, he will lose her. Whether she ends up with Thomas is left to be seen. One thing I know for sure is that the show tends not to keep couples happy for long. This is why Quinn and Carter happened (then Eric and Donna). It is why the Taylor character was brought back and it is why Hope is now having feelings for Thomas. If they do end up together, I think everyone knows that it won't be forever but it will be a welcomed break from Liam and his controlling, obsessive ways. Hope will finally be with someone who is completely committed to her and dedicated to praising all of her achievements. And I happen to think that Hope deserves that. She works way too hard to have to come home to anything less.

DeleteIt almost looked like a sigh of relief and disbelief as Hope paused when she was outside the door. Liam is wearing her down so bad she doesn't seem to ever want to go home to him anymore. That's when I see the tortured look on her face. Even when she has to call him.
DeleteD, I also think that Hope is realizing that Liam will never let up about Thomas and so, she might also be sad about what that might mean for her marriage. She doesn't want to lose Liam or her family but Liam isn't making it easy for her.

And worst of all - he's being stupid which is unforgivable. How does he not realize that him pushing back on every attempt of Hope to restore the peace and yelling "Thomas" with every sentence, is ruining it all? Thomas, of course, seems like a superhero, better yet, reformed super villain, which women dig, compared to that. But I hope they surprise us by having some unforeseen culmination that doesn't end with broken hearts and broken families.

Plus Liam didn’t forget about her, in the past weeks it’s all about her, when he’s with Steffy and they discuss her parties, soccer matches etc. Seems like Kelly has it quite good with two loving dads, one of which lives with her.

Elle, I have seen you comment about liking Hope many times since AN took over the role, and long before some people came here, and no it was not all Thomas related either!! And BB, you are correct, the Logan’s didn’t give a damn about Kelly , at ANY stage, not even when she was in the womb or as a new born!!! Let’s not forget that innocent little Hope slept with Liam while Steffy was still MARRIED to Liam AND PREGNANT with Kelly.. Well, if it were the other way around, wouldn’t Steffy have copped it left right and center, for sleeping with Liam while still married to a pregnant hope!! Wow!!
