Actually STOOPITER plot than ever before. Besides Sheila didn't even need Bill to get her out. She gets out fine on her own. Makes Ridge and Bill look like even bigger baffoons than previously displayed. She would have still been in jail or returned many times over so the whole ploy of having the family stressed out was totally useless crummy writing. More like Hock-tooey!
Sheila could have only gone down for attempted murder since Finn and Steffy are still alive. Bill is trying to get her to confess her past murders. That way, when she goes down, it will be for a very long time.
Or maybe the spoilers will be true about finn not being her son and its brooks and erics And she fooled jack to believe that finn is his and it will bring more drama and suspense

You are so right, Booklover, not only these two attempted murders (but Finn died and was brought back so was it really ‘attempted murder’? (Wink) Plus how many escapes from prison and the fraud Sheila committed while decapitating her toe and her past criminal convictions and incarcerations, including time in facilities for the criminally insane? This is all nonsensical because she would be sent away for life but this new story is still better than the boring redundant hogwash they’ve been forcing upon us. Deacon’s part is also utterly unbelievable. He was never attracted to Sheila and now that he owns the local hotspot and has some clout, we are supposed to believe he would suddenly be in love with Sheila when he could be dating numerous young singles? I’m awaiting Thomas’ shrink addressing his attraction to his younger stepsister who he has known since her birth and lived with at times and how all of the parents didn’t seem to disapprove for the reason that in most respects, they are siblings, on and off step siblings who share a half sibling.

What I still don’t understand (among other things) is why do they expect Sheila to tell Bill her deepest darkest secret if she’s "cheating" on him? If he doesn't mean enough to her to be faithful, why would he mean enough to tell him things?

Elle I think the reason she's "concerned" (=hopeful) is because she knows Thomas wants Hope, no mystery there. But if Hope has some spark for him, then it's where trouble starts for Hope and Liam. Steffy's concern as CEO is probably because she is thinking that they are only just now bringing HFTF back and so, she doesn't want anything interfering with that.
Steffy doesn’t want Liam back. Being with Finn has helped her be a better version of herself. With Finn he loves her and only her. It isn’t about rivalry or getting one over on Hope.
Elle I would agree about the CEO. Steffy has a lot of responsibilities and she doesn’t want any issues with the line. She’s taking a risk in allowing Hope and Thomas the time to revive it. She wants it to succeed and stated clearly that she wants that for Hope’s sake too.
I thought it showed a lot of growth that she is wanting the best for Hope and doesn’t want work to cause friction in their marriage.

I do not believe that Steffy has any ill intent toward Hope and Liam. It's not like she'd be happy if their marriage went kaput, and to suggest that she would is totally absurd. Steffy is completely happy with Finn and is focused on her own family. Her wanting to see Hope and Liam have problems in their marriage would mean that she is still harboring bitterness regarding what they did to her. So far, I have only seen Steffy show concern about the impact Thomas being back on HFTF will have on Hope and Liam's marriage.
It’s not absurd at all, it’s human. And like I said, if her concern was solely on what’s going on at FC and Thomas‘ obsession, she wouldn’t be all Liam, Liam. She and Hope aren’t friends for her concern about their marriage to be plausible, it’s not the same as if Brooke or Katie would say "what would that mean for Hope and Liam?" On the contrary - that history the 3 share is not easy to erase. She is happy with Finn, no doubt, but many of the times Liam and Hope had problems she was right there, waiting in the wings, including that time she was already dating Finn. It's not out of the question at all. I don't expect any of the two couples to stay together forever it's not how BB works 😀
Milla, it's true that she and Hope are not friends however, what makes it plausible is that it has been shown on numerous occasions that Steffy has had concerns about Thomas' obsession with Hope. She consistently checked in with Hope before the HFTF launch to see how she was doing working so closely with Thomas. She also spoke to Thomas about not letting his feelings for Hope get the better of him. He has had to tell her more than once that he is not obsessed with Hope again. Now that she has been told about Hope finding Liam attractive, of course she is going to have concerns about what that means for Hope and Thomas as well as for Hope and Liam. We have not seen Steffy once look like she is harboring any resentment toward Hope where Liam is concerned. She has been so focused on her own life. So I'm not sure where this feeling that she wants to secretly see Liam and Hope's marriage busted is coming from. It certainly isn't playing out onscreen.

To me it's only human to not be completely impartial regarding their marriage and definitely not to genuinely wish them the best. The way I see it M, if someone secretly wishes to see the demise of someone else's relationship or secretly hopes that things get messy in the other person's relationship, it has to be because they still feel bitter or upset about whatever might have happened. I dunno, but that's just how I see it. And from that perspective, I will agree with you. But as I said, Steffy seems to be completely enamored with her husband, family, job, and life in general. Plus, she has Sheila and Bill to deal with. She really doesn't seem to still be upset about Liam cheating on her with Hope, getting her pregnant then marrying her (Mmysh, that's what I meant by what they did to her). As you said though, it's not far from the realm of possibility that the Steffy/Liam relationship might be revisited in the future and both of their feelings explored.

Paris pressured her to say what was in her heart. Hope would not have said she found Thomas to be hot if she did not mean it. But you're right. Hope finding Thomas to be attractive doesn't have to mean a thing. However, I would dare to say that Hope forgiving Thomas yet again and going against her husband's express wishes, mean something. I don’t think Hope finally reluctantly saying “Thomas is hot” has anything to do with what is in her ‘heart.’ I can think people are attractive and have zero emotional connection to the person. As can all people. She wants Thomas to be a good guy for Douglas. And she wants Thomas to be a good guy because she always wants the best for everyone. She is just that way. Personally, I think Hope’s intentions toward Thomas are 100% innocent. And that won’t change.
Haha no worries all, we are in agreement - I remember very well the high-school girly giddiness of Paris and how she started the whole "hot" conversation and pushed and pushed. And now also trying to stir trouble by telling Steffy as if Hope was there drooling like a cartoon dog. Paris is a little useless and whenever they do try to push her, it's plain annoying. Steffy should know that, but it's so obvious Liam is in the scope of her "concern". Doesn't mean she wants him back or that anything is wrong between her and Finn. Only means she gets that very human tingle of satisfaction and hope when the woman who you've been fighting most of your life for a man has trouble with said man.
Milla, when Liam thought that he saw Thomas and Hope kissing, Steffy pleaded with him to go talk to Hope. She said that she knew Hope would not be kissing Thomas and told Liam that he had to be mistaken.
After they slept together, she again told him that he needed to go home and speak to Hope, that there must be some explanation to what he saw. She also begged him not to say anything to her about what they did because she knew it would cause problems for them and for her and Finn. If Steffy really wanted to cause trouble or if she really wanted to see Liam and Hope have problems, she would not have begged him to go home and talk to his wife.
I believe that the time she had the drug dependency was a breaking point for her where Liam was concerned. Remember, when she went over to Brooke's with the knife demanding that Liam return Kelly to her? Once she started rehabilatative care and her treatments, she was able to deal with all of the Liam stuff. Then, along came Finn. A man who she genuinely fell in love with and him with her. He showed her what a loyal and faithful man was and he continued to show her that she was his one and only. And even though she fell off the wagon for a short bit with Liam, she knew without a doubt that she did not want to lose Finn. She was so broken up about it until he assured her that he forgave her, then proposed to her to prove his love. At that point (and up till today), it's "Liam who?"

Mmysh, I don't recall Steffy saying that. I remember Liam having trouble telling Steffy about what he and Hope discussed and I remember Steffy being anxious about what Liam was trying to tell her. When he eventually blurted out that it was not Hope who Thomas was kissing, Steffy was in complete disbelief and it became even more important to her that they not say anything to Hope about what happened between them since it turned out that Hope did not, in fact, betray Liam.
No dear i remember this episode so clearly Her exact words were „you are staying with hope“ She was welling to leave finn to be with liam The she begged him not to tell until they knew she was pregnant and you know the rest of the drama
Here is an excerpt from the transcript for that episode S34 E8416. Steffy did not want Liam to leave Hope. When they slept together, Liam told Steffy that he was leaving Hope because she betrayed their vows. He also told Steffy that he missed what they had and wanted their family back together. All the while, Steffy was saying that there had to be some kind of mistake, that Hope would not kiss Thomas. So when Thomas was at the hospital undergoing surgery, and Liam told Steffy what had really happened with Thomas and the mannequin, she said "so, you're staying with Hope" meaning that his intent to leave his marriage the night before was no longer an option for him. It did not mean that she was upset about him staying with Hope, as you would see further down in the transcript where she was begging him not to tell Hope because he would lose everything and her relationship would be affected.
Steffy: Hope knows you thought you saw her kissing Thomas?
Liam: Yeah.
Steffy: Does she know everything else? What happened between us that night?
Liam: No, no. Not that.
Steffy: Man, I can’t believe this.

Where in that does it say he "wanted their family back together"? 😂 All he's saying is what a monumental mistake their night was 😅 I watched that episode a few months ago because the misunderstanding was circulating here that he said he wanted their family back together before they slept together. He said no such thing. He was nostalgic in 2-3 words, maybe looking at that painting but never said he wants the family back together.
PS the episode is 8409 and I watched their parts again. No such sentence. He drunk-slobbering asked "how serious are you and Finn" and that the painting was "a symbol of what was and a symbol of what could still be". And then they kissed and went to bed 😅

Means it will be something disappointing So it means she was waiting for her and liam to get back together There is no other meaning to that So if she wasn’t wanting him to leave hope why would she say that its ok she can take it And her voice tone and body language when she said so you are staying with hope say it all So no dear that’s totally proves she was welling to leave finn for liam
That was not what it meant. It meant that she simply didn't care. Liam was apologizing and trying to tell her that he should have just listened to her so she said "Liam, I can take it" meaning that he didn't have to be so apologetic because them sleeping together was not all that serious to her. As you will see later on, she was more concerned about him not telling Hope what happened. If Steffy wanted Liam back, why would she be so concerned about him telling Hope? Wouldn't she have encouraged it instead? Steffy even went so far as to tell him that he could risk losing Hope and Beth. That certainly does not sound like she was trying to get Liam back. And it definitely did not sound like she wanted to leave Finn for Liam because she told Liam that him telling Hope what happened between them could put her relationship with Finn in jeopardy.

I recall a long while back BBFAN and myself got into a big argument about how that whole thing went down. BBFAN said specifically that Liam was wanting to be back together with Steffy. And I maintained he never say anything like that. He just felt horribly guilty for lying to Hope about it. So like Milla asked….where in all that is Liam “choosing” to be with Steffy as a family again?? It simply didn’t happen.
Lynn of course it didn’t happen. He didn’t choose, he didn’t even want say he wanted anything. He was just sloshed 😅 even on the morning after, before he found out Thomas was kissing a mannequin, he was being weird and regretful. They didn't even wake up in the same bed. He was on the couch. And I agree with Mmysh that the writers made a point to create the feeling that Steffy was open to continuing down the road with Liam if he wanted to. Milla, when I first came on the blog I was always being told that Steffy was Liam’s one true love. I got that shoved at me many, many times when I was one of the very few Logan fans that existed here. Our team was pretty lonely there first a while. 😂😂. I always pushed back on that theory, but it got exhausting after a while. Then all you ladies showed up and took the pressure off. 👍🏻 Liam clearly adores and values Hope. I never doubted that.
Lynn absolutely. I will never know what made you stay here and not give up on the blog but I'm so glad you did. And now I think our little group of regulars is actually discussing much more nicely than a few months ago. And look we're close to 200 comments again 😂 recently there were as few as 13! And regarding Liam and Hope - of course, there's no question. The whole beginning of Hope and Liam was much different than with Steffy, it was organic and that sets the tone. I'm so glad they gave them a break (apart from the never ending Thomas madness but they manage to overcome it every time).
Deacon could be in on it but this would mean that the Judge would be as well, handsome Joe Lando, Jake, on the same soap a few years before Thorsten played Patrick Thornhart on One Life to Live … some of you younger fans might remember Joe Lando as dreamy Sully on Dr. Quinn. It would be nice if they bring back the same Judge to put Sheila away for life.
The ending is so unbelievable and Steffy making Hope's comment about Thomas a big issue...give it up! She wants it to be an issue...look at her smile every time she talks about Hope and Liam having problems.

It is an issue for Steffy because she didn't know about it before until Paris told her. So it's new information. Steffy has always been concerned about Thomas and Hope being so close and she has made her concern known to both Hope and Thomas individually. She practically warned Thomas last year not to become obsessed with Hope again. So hearing that Hope finds Thomas attractive will be a concern for her, especially if it has the potential to mess things up with HFTF.
She is just making a big deal out of something is tiny Paris pressured hope to say the words then she went directly to tell thomas and he did a big deal of it
Agreed BBFan. I also agree with your earlier comment about Steffy being a different version of herself and having sincere concern for Hope. She may not always be Hope's biggest fan but she knows the danger that Hope can be in if Thomas becomes obsessed again. It's why she continues to keep an eye on Hope and constantly asks her if she is okay with working so closely with Thomas.
So let me get this straight…first Steffy tells Hope that she must agree to bring Thomas back as lead designer or her line is going to be shelved. So Hope RELUCTANTLY brings Thomas back to HFTF. And now Steffy’s new big concern is whether or not Hope can work with Thomas because Hope may have “feelings” for him??? Could this line of thought from Steffy be anymore ridiculous? Lynn, that is not what happened. Steffy did not tell Hope that she MUST bring Thomas back. She said that HFTF was under-performing and the only solution would be to bring Thomas back BUT ONLY if she was okay with it. If she was not okay with it, the line would have to be put on pause. Steffy knew that from a business standpoint, Thomas was the only solution but she also knew that from a personal standpoint, Hope had issues with Thomas after his involvement with the CPS call. She left the decision completely in Hope's hands as to whether or not to bring Thomas back.
This would not have been an issue for Steffy as she would have been able to keep an eye on Thomas and check in with Hope to ensure that things were running smoothly. However, finding out that Hope might possibly be attracted to her brother puts a different spin on things. It means that if Hope gives Thomas any kind of encouragement at all, they can end back up with him becoming obsessed again, which is something Steffy does not want.

Steffy didn’t make that decision to bring Thomas back herself! It was an executive decision between Eric, Carter and Steffy contingent on Ridge’s approval. They were ready to shelve HFTF permanently. Steffy proposed it as the option that would allow the line to continue. She fought to keep Hope’s line for her. Eric had to go back to couture, especially since Ridge isn’t there designing and they are the leads there. Zende is a junior designer and they have him a run as well as the collaboration with Eric that was off the mark for the line. It was too couture. Hope even said they had head hunter other designers and none had been what they needed.
I think it’s unfair to make this something else to pin in Steffy and calling her a bitch? Really? She left it in Hope’s hands what to do. She could forced it on her but she didn’t. She acknowledged the implications for Hope and Liam and as Kelly’s mother it affects her daughter too! That’s why Steffy told Hope she had to make the decision.
Honestly, I’m so sick of the Steffy bashing. As a FF I have acknowledged as have others that we’ve seen Brooke grow, mature , do the right thing, same with Hope and Liam but LFs are not willing to think for a second that Steffy has done the same.
We have seen her go through a lot in the last couple of years and she clearly has been working to be a better person. We have seen her grow up and do the right thing even when it hurts her family etc.
She did everything she could to protect Douglas and be supportive of Hope through the months he was living with her. She encouraged Douglas in his return home to the cabin. She’s fighting to keep Hope’s line alive.
As mentioned by Elle and other posters, I don’t think she has any I’ll intent towards Hope here. She’s not trying to make trouble for their marriage etc. I think the concern over Hope saying Thomas is hot was and is that Paris keeps stirring the pot. She made sure Thomas knew about it and no one wants to feed his obsession with Hope again. Thomas is living with Paris remember? She’s very good at causing trouble .

And btw maybe you were not back yet we always and used to cheer for steffy in the past months when she did the right thing and we used to defend her against sheila or others when she is right and being a victim So yeah we can cheer and see steffy’s development and changes when we say it
Thomas was concerned because Ridge has to sign off as co-ceo and the Board made the decision to remove Thomas not Steffy by herself. So they had to agree to him coming back, as well as Hope since it’s her line. Ridge is part of the board and Co-CEO. Steffy was elected by Eric and Carter to be the one that proposed it Hope and Thomas etc. They even said they didn’t envy her position having to do that.
Having Thomas back was a last resort to try and save HFTF.
I think it’s unfair to say Steffy just put it out there without thinking it through. I think she keeps bringing up Liam because he can throw a spanner in the works if he decides it Thomas or their marriage. She wants to make sure Hope has really thought it through and is able to love with her decision personally and professionally. They are going out on a proverbial limb to give HFTF a last chance. Steffy’s bum is on the line here too. She answers to shareholders and doesn’t want to have personal issues between Thomas and Liam yank it. It’s business.
I don’t think Liam realised that Eric and Carter were also part of that process, and since Hope had to explain that they already tried to recruit other designers who didn’t work out etc. that Thomas really was the only chance they had to save it.
Im glad Liam is supporting Hope and her decision. Of course he should be vigilant regarding Thomas… Hope will be too this time around. She is desperate to save HFTF but she’s not putting up with any nonsense this time. Thomas best be on his very best behaviour at all times or he’s out on his arse.

BBFAN, I had been singing Steffy’s praises for many of her actions / appearance over the past month or two. But on Monday’s episode when she had a big smile on her face as she told Thomas that Hope’s conversation with Liam was not gonna go well, that registered on the Bitch-meter for sure! There was absolutely nothing funny about that as I stated in my earlier comment. Not sure why the idea of trouble in Hope’s and Liam’s marriage is comical to Steffy. But you know I’m gonna call em like I see em. Prior to this whole “shelving HFTF” threat, I had actually become a much bigger fan of Steffy. And you keep saying that Steffy didn’t make the decision on her own, that Carter and Eric approved Thomas coming back as well. When did that happen? I have no recollection of that discussion with Carter and Eric at all.
Go back to the meeting re Hope for the Future… they told Steffy she had to tell Hope about their decision and that she would have to convince Ridge and Hope… bringing Thomas back was a joint decision
Mymesh, Hope told Liam that they had already tried to find new designers for the line that they tried everything but couldn’t find one that fit with HFTF’s vision !! We didn’t see it on screen, Hope told us through her dialogue.
Lyn, when Steffy first told Hope about Thomas coming back, the episode started with Eric, Carter and Steffy finishing up the meeting about HFTF. Hope walked in at the same time and apologized for interrupting but Steffy told her it was fine and that she needed to talk to her about HFTF. That's when Eric and Carter took their leave and Eric told Steffy that he does not envy her having to talk to Hope.

Mmysh, it had to be a board decision to bring Thomas back as the board made the joint decision to oust him. Steffy can’t unilaterally decide that.
She proposed something that they discussed. They came back to the meeting we didn’t see it all. Literally it was a last resort to save HFTF… I think it need said. They were killing Hope’s line at that meeting. Steffy proposed the only solution they had left to save it. The board agreed and they mentioned Ridge would have to approve it.
Because when Hope first suggested it 1) Steffy did not yet believe that Thomas had changed and 2) Steffy felt that Hope should talk to Liam about it first and not make a rash decision that could have consequences for her marriage. Hope even thanked Steffy for pointing it out to her and for stopping her from making a rash decision.
When Taylor made Steffy and Thomas talk and they had the heart to heart, at that point, Steffy saw that her brother was putting in the effort to genuinely change and so, she made the suggestion to Eric and Carter that they bring Thomas back on in order to save HFTF.
But the notion he had changed was also somehow forced on Steffy by Taylor. All she did was sing her kumbaya "find the love" which was ridiculous (as a family moment beautiful, but as a basis for bringing him into business and everyone's lives completely laughable). Steffy herself didn't really have any process of her own to realize he's changed and changed enough to let loose on other people. Nobody did, Taylor made sure of that with her pushing.

We need to remember that in Soap land it’s been several months now that Thomas has been in therapy, HFTF is still on a downward spiral etc. So we Ignore what Hope herself said about searching for other designers because it wasn’t shown on screen that she interviewed them??
Mmysh, that's why Steffy made sure to tell Hope that she did not have to accept Thomas back. Steffy gave Hope 2 options: put the line on pause or put Thomas back as Head Designer. Hope could have decided to put the line on pause which would have given her time to find another solution, but instead she chose to bring Thomas back. Steffy in no way forced Hope to choose Thomas. Hope did that on her own. There were also several suggestions right here that Hope could have taken HFTF to another company or she could have started her own company. So, it's not like she did not have any other choice. Her father-in-law is Bill Spencer! It's not like Hope would suffer if HFTF was backburnered for a bit.

I think Ridge's hair looks like a bad attempt to be young looking and he and bill being FBI is a big laugh. 😂🤣 Writers going way out on the limb with this one. Now, Deacon I could see as FBI, HE'S nice looking and his acting is much better.

I agree Mmysh. I like Deacon too. I hope he is in on the sting operation. He was never even remotely attracted to Sheila when he first came back on the show. Now she is the love of his life for whom he is willing to risk everything ? So stupid!! I hope he’s in on the plan to get Sheila back in prison for sure!!!

Milla, thank goodness Bill has redeemed himself! It was truly sad watching him turn into the crazy zombie Sheila whipped mess that he’d seemingly turned into!! We for sure never saw this coming. So all this in an effort to get Sheila to confess to additional crimes. 🤷♀️🤷♀️🤷♀️ Couldn’t the local police just have interrogated her under bright lights for hours on end with no food or sleep and have gotten the same result?? Lol Just seems like an extremely elaborate plan to get her to fess up to more bad behavior.
Lynn I was thinking the same thing. Did the police/FBI come up with the fake exoneration, the fake blackmail? And was sleeping with her also FBI-mandated? 🤣 why involve Bill and Ridge in that? If they have been watching her then they'd know she's much more into Deacon than Bill and is more likely to spill to him. All a bit too messy, I hope they answer at least some of our questions with something halfway plausible. I hope they show us more police business and less dragged out Bill and Sheila conversations with that music that's haunting our nightmares.
Milla if Bill has the power to buy out judges he probably known a lot of people in the FBI. For a certain amount of money someone gave them access to top of the line surveillance equipment.
Steffy should be concerned about whether Hope is attracted to her brother. In her eyes, Thomas has been doing the work and is on the road to redemption. For Hope to be attracted to him now can undo all the work that Thomas has done. Steffy fears that Thomas' obsession with Hope will be revived if Hope gives him the slightest bit of encouragement.
D for sure, even though we are yet to find if the judge buying wasn’t staged? If it was all part of the plot it may well have been.
Elle, that’s all well and good but Steffy wouldn’t have Liam’s name in her mouth every time if it was all about Hope and Thomas‘ obsession. Liam has nothing to do with Thomas‘ obsession.
Elle, regarding the Steffy thing you mentioned above….Sorry but I think that’s a huge reach. As I said in another comment, Steffy has known about the stupid “Thomas is hot” comment for a really long time. If that was a concern - even in the slightest - then why did she give Hope the ultimatum…Hire Thomas back or lose your line!??? That makes no sense. This casual comment that Steffy is basing her supposed concerns on is not new news! Just seems like Steffy doesn’t have the capability to think things through. Just sayin!
Lynn, please see my long reply in post above addressing this issue. I know I know it’s a book lol. Steffy didn’t make the decision regarding Thomas alone or on a whim. I think we forgetting Paris putting her oar in and stirring the pot with Thomas. The things she says to him cause more harm than good and she is more likely to bring what Hope said up to Thomas. She forced it out off Hope then spread it all over the office. I think she will play a role if/when Thomas goes dark again.

Milla I think Steffy has grow a lot as a person. I don’t think she’s wishing ill for Liam and Hope. Liam’s name is there because they share a daughter. Kelly is affected if things are bad between Hope and Liam. Beth and Douglas are also affected so of course Steffy has a reason to be worried. It will obviously affect Hope’s work on the line too. Steffy would feel some responsibility for it because she and the board are bringing Thomas back in and even though it work life should be separate from home life. In this case they are all so intertwined that just isn’t possible. So I think she has valid concerns and they are not at all about hurting or sticking it to Hope. Please allow that Steffy has grown and changed for the better. Finn’s been a positive influence on her for sure. I think she’s more than demonstrated that.

If we are going to go so far as to say….”How Kelly will be affected by all this”….then certainly no Forrester fan should object to a discussion between Liam and Steffy about this whole situation. Yesterday I was told that conversation “would not be appropriate.” Then I reminded the person that buttinsky Taylor had inserted herself into this discussion MULTIPLE times. And that was clearly inappropriate.
I am shocked Liam didn’t speak to Steffy about it! It would be completely appropriate since they are coparents and she’s been raising Douglas the last few months. I actually expected to see that in the episode.. Steffy could have explained the board’s decision and the steps they had taken to try and find a new designer as well as how they were making a last effort to save Hope’s line. She could have reassured him that she, Ridge etc would be watching Thomas closely and working with Hope so that she feels safe etc.
I don’t know who said it would not be appropriate but I completely disagree with that.
Just to clarify, I’m talking about a parent to parent conversation, not Liam telling Steffy how to do her job. They are still friends as well. I think that’s part of her concern for him. Mmysh, Hope told Liam they had tried to find other designers, to find. “Anyone else” to be the lead designer and couldn’t find anyone who could execute her vision. They clearly interviewed other designers in the “months” that occurred in soapy time … they had another showing with Eric/Zende designs that flopped. Hope told us… just because you didn’t see it onscreen you can’t say it didn’t happen.
I understand you hate Steffy but please. Her proposing a last ditch effort to save HFTF which would have officially been dead at that meeting… they made a joint decision based on it. She didn’t decide it herself. I already posted an answer in a thread above.
If you watch the episode preceding the decision there is more of the discussion between the three in the meeting. We obviously saw snippets as is usual. Proposing something that is discussed and then decided on by a team isn’t the same as Steffy “deciding” . I think the bias against anything she does and constant assumption that there is a negative motive or that Steffy is incompetent is unwarranted.

It is very much unwarranted. I am also not sure that Steffy's ultimatum included HFTF being shelved. I am pretty sure I heard Steffy say that the line would be paused, as in, there would be no further production on the line. This makes me think that once an alternative solution was found, or another designer was hired for the line, that they would put it back into production. As such, Hope did not have to say yes to Thomas coming back, she could have said no and would have had the time to find another designer.
I've loved the last two minutes sooo much 😃 I would have never imagined Ridge could be there and collaborating with Bill!! But please bring Ridge to the hairdresser or to a barber, he was so handsome before ☺️

(Wink) Plus how many escapes from prison and the fraud Sheila committed while decapitating her toe and her past criminal convictions and incarcerations, including time in facilities for the criminally insane? This is all nonsensical because she would be sent away for life but this new story is still better than the boring redundant hogwash they’ve been forcing upon us. Deacon’s part is also utterly unbelievable. He was never attracted to Sheila and now that he owns the local hotspot and has some clout, we are supposed to believe he would suddenly be in love with Sheila when he could be dating numerous young singles? I’m awaiting Thomas’ shrink addressing his attraction to his younger stepsister who he has known since her birth and lived with at times and how all of the parents didn’t seem to disapprove for the reason that in most respects, they are siblings, on and off step siblings who share a half sibling.

Steffy is completely happy with Finn and is focused on her own family. Her wanting to see Hope and Liam have problems in their marriage would mean that she is still harboring bitterness regarding what they did to her. So far, I have only seen Steffy show concern about the impact Thomas being back on HFTF will have on Hope and Liam's marriage.

DeleteIt’s not absurd at all, it’s human. And like I said, if her concern was solely on what’s going on at FC and Thomas‘ obsession, she wouldn’t be all Liam, Liam. She and Hope aren’t friends for her concern about their marriage to be plausible, it’s not the same as if Brooke or Katie would say "what would that mean for Hope and Liam?" On the contrary - that history the 3 share is not easy to erase. She is happy with Finn, no doubt, but many of the times Liam and Hope had problems she was right there, waiting in the wings, including that time she was already dating Finn. It's not out of the question at all. I don't expect any of the two couples to stay together forever it's not how BB works 😀

Milla, it's true that she and Hope are not friends however, what makes it plausible is that it has been shown on numerous occasions that Steffy has had concerns about Thomas' obsession with Hope. She consistently checked in with Hope before the HFTF launch to see how she was doing working so closely with Thomas. She also spoke to Thomas about not letting his feelings for Hope get the better of him. He has had to tell her more than once that he is not obsessed with Hope again. Now that she has been told about Hope finding Liam attractive, of course she is going to have concerns about what that means for Hope and Thomas as well as for Hope and Liam. We have not seen Steffy once look like she is harboring any resentment toward Hope where Liam is concerned. She has been so focused on her own life. So I'm not sure where this feeling that she wants to secretly see Liam and Hope's marriage busted is coming from. It certainly isn't playing out onscreen.

Elle maybe you are a much better person in life than me 😂 they say "we don't see things as they are, we see them as we are". To me it's only human to not be completely impartial regarding their marriage and definitely not to genuinely wish them the best. Plus others have pointed out also her facial expressions when she says "Hope and Liam". But you're right she hasn't been shown plotting or jumping up and down or with this face 😈so I leave the possibility open that she's not 5% gloating.

The way I see it M, if someone secretly wishes to see the demise of someone else's relationship or secretly hopes that things get messy in the other person's relationship, it has to be because they still feel bitter or upset about whatever might have happened. I dunno, but that's just how I see it. And from that perspective, I will agree with you. But as I said, Steffy seems to be completely enamored with her husband, family, job, and life in general. Plus, she has Sheila and Bill to deal with. She really doesn't seem to still be upset about Liam cheating on her with Hope, getting her pregnant then marrying her (Mmysh, that's what I meant by what they did to her). As you said though, it's not far from the realm of possibility that the Steffy/Liam relationship might be revisited in the future and both of their feelings explored.

I don’t think Hope finally reluctantly saying “Thomas is hot” has anything to do with what is in her ‘heart.’ I can think people are attractive and have zero emotional connection to the person. As can all people. She wants Thomas to be a good guy for Douglas. And she wants Thomas to be a good guy because she always wants the best for everyone. She is just that way. Personally, I think Hope’s intentions toward Thomas are 100% innocent. And that won’t change.

And now also trying to stir trouble by telling Steffy as if Hope was there drooling like a cartoon dog. And Steffy should be more mature too to differentiate between actual issues (she has enough) and Paris' idiosyncrasies.

Paris is a little useless and whenever they do try to push her, it's plain annoying. Steffy should know that, but it's so obvious Liam is in the scope of her "concern". Doesn't mean she wants him back or that anything is wrong between her and Finn. Only means she gets that very human tingle of satisfaction and hope when the woman who you've been fighting most of your life for a man has trouble with said man.

She also begged him not to say anything to her about what they did because she knew it would cause problems for them and for her and Finn. I believe that the time she had the drug dependency was a breaking point for her where Liam was concerned. Remember, when she went over to Brooke's with the knife demanding that Liam return Kelly to her? Once she started rehabilatative care and her treatments, she was able to deal with all of the Liam stuff. Then, along came Finn. A man who she genuinely fell in love with and him with her. He showed her what a loyal and faithful man was and he continued to show her that she was his one and only. And even though she fell off the wagon for a short bit with Liam, she knew without a doubt that she did not want to lose Finn. She was so broken up about it until he assured her that he forgave her, then proposed to her to prove his love. At that point (and up till today), it's "Liam who?"

Mmysh, I don't recall Steffy saying that. I remember Liam having trouble telling Steffy about what he and Hope discussed and I remember Steffy being anxious about what Liam was trying to tell her. When he eventually blurted out that it was not Hope who Thomas was kissing, Steffy was in complete disbelief and it became even more important to her that they not say anything to Hope about what happened between them since it turned out that Hope did not, in fact, betray Liam.

Here is an excerpt from the transcript for that episode S34 E8416. Steffy did not want Liam to leave Hope. When they slept together, Liam told Steffy that he was leaving Hope because she betrayed their vows. He also told Steffy that he missed what they had and wanted their family back together. All the while, Steffy was saying that there had to be some kind of mistake, that Hope would not kiss Thomas. So when Thomas was at the hospital undergoing surgery, and Liam told Steffy what had really happened with Thomas and the mannequin, she said "so, you're staying with Hope" meaning that his intent to leave his marriage the night before was no longer an option for him. It did not mean that she was upset about him staying with Hope, as you would see further down in the transcript where she was begging him not to tell Hope because he would lose everything and her relationship would be affected.

DeleteI watched that episode a few months ago because the misunderstanding was circulating here that he said he wanted their family back together before they slept together. He said no such thing. He was nostalgic in 2-3 words, maybe looking at that painting but never said he wants the family back together.

That was not what it meant. It meant that she simply didn't care. Liam was apologizing and trying to tell her that he should have just listened to her so she said "Liam, I can take it" meaning that he didn't have to be so apologetic because them sleeping together was not all that serious to her. As you will see later on, she was more concerned about him not telling Hope what happened. If Steffy wanted Liam back, why would she be so concerned about him telling Hope? Wouldn't she have encouraged it instead? Steffy even went so far as to tell him that he could risk losing Hope and Beth. That certainly does not sound like she was trying to get Liam back. And it definitely did not sound like she wanted to leave Finn for Liam because she told Liam that him telling Hope what happened between them could put her relationship with Finn in jeopardy.

I recall a long while back BBFAN and myself got into a big argument about how that whole thing went down. BBFAN said specifically that Liam was wanting to be back together with Steffy. And I maintained he never say anything like that. He just felt horribly guilty for lying to Hope about it.

Milla, when I first came on the blog I was always being told that Steffy was Liam’s one true love. I got that shoved at me many, many times when I was one of the very few Logan fans that existed here. Our team was pretty lonely there first a while. 😂😂. I always pushed back on that theory, but it got exhausting after a while.

And regarding Liam and Hope - of course, there's no question. The whole beginning of Hope and Liam was much different than with Steffy, it was organic and that sets the tone. I'm so glad they gave them a break (apart from the never ending Thomas madness but they manage to overcome it every time).

It is an issue for Steffy because she didn't know about it before until Paris told her. So it's new information. Steffy has always been concerned about Thomas and Hope being so close and she has made her concern known to both Hope and Thomas individually. She practically warned Thomas last year not to become obsessed with Hope again. So hearing that Hope finds Thomas attractive will be a concern for her, especially if it has the potential to mess things up with HFTF.

DeleteLynn, that is not what happened. Steffy did not tell Hope that she MUST bring Thomas back. She said that HFTF was under-performing and the only solution would be to bring Thomas back BUT ONLY if she was okay with it. If she was not okay with it, the line would have to be put on pause. Steffy knew that from a business standpoint, Thomas was the only solution but she also knew that from a personal standpoint, Hope had issues with Thomas after his involvement with the CPS call. She left the decision completely in Hope's hands as to whether or not to bring Thomas back.
DeleteThis would not have been an issue for Steffy as she would have been able to keep an eye on Thomas and check in with Hope to ensure that things were running smoothly. However, finding out that Hope might possibly be attracted to her brother puts a different spin on things. It means that if Hope gives Thomas any kind of encouragement at all, they can end back up with him becoming obsessed again, which is something Steffy does not want.
Elle, I addressed your comment in another thread just now. But I will say this…Yes, Steffy did tell Hope she must bring Thomas back or else lose her line. Those were her choices. Not a single other option was offered. Hope IS her line. If she gets her line shelved, she has no future at Forrester. So I don’t understand why you think Steffy gave her options. Leaving the choice to hope between 2 difficult choices doesn’t mean she is giving her the choice
Steffy didn’t make that decision to bring Thomas back herself! It was an executive decision between Eric, Carter and Steffy contingent on Ridge’s approval. They were ready to shelve HFTF permanently. Steffy proposed it as the option that would allow the line to continue. She fought to keep Hope’s line for her. Eric had to go back to couture, especially since Ridge isn’t there designing and they are the leads there. Zende is a junior designer and they have him a run as well as the collaboration with Eric that was off the mark for the line. It was too couture. Hope even said they had head hunter other designers and none had been what they needed.
DeleteI think it’s unfair to make this something else to pin in Steffy and calling her a bitch? Really? She left it in Hope’s hands what to do. She could forced it on her but she didn’t. She acknowledged the implications for Hope and Liam and as Kelly’s mother it affects her daughter too! That’s why Steffy told Hope she had to make the decision.
Honestly, I’m so sick of the Steffy bashing. As a FF I have acknowledged as have others that we’ve seen Brooke grow, mature , do the right thing, same with Hope and Liam but LFs are not willing to think for a second that Steffy has done the same.
We have seen her go through a lot in the last couple of years and she clearly has been working to be a better person. We have seen her grow up and do the right thing even when it hurts her family etc.
She did everything she could to protect Douglas and be supportive of Hope through the months he was living with her. She encouraged Douglas in his return home to the cabin. She’s fighting to keep Hope’s line alive.
As mentioned by Elle and other posters, I don’t think she has any I’ll intent towards Hope here. She’s not trying to make trouble for their marriage etc. I think the concern over Hope saying Thomas is hot was and is that Paris keeps stirring the pot. She made sure Thomas knew about it and no one wants to feed his obsession with Hope again. Thomas is living with Paris remember? She’s very good at causing trouble .

And btw maybe you were not back yet we always and used to cheer for steffy in the past months when she did the right thing and we used to defend her against sheila or others when she is right and being a victim

DeleteThomas was concerned because Ridge has to sign off as co-ceo and the Board made the decision to remove Thomas not Steffy by herself. So they had to agree to him coming back, as well as Hope since it’s her line. Ridge is part of the board and Co-CEO. Steffy was elected by Eric and Carter to be the one that proposed it Hope and Thomas etc. They even said they didn’t envy her position having to do that.

I think it’s unfair to say Steffy just put it out there without thinking it through. I think she keeps bringing up Liam because he can throw a spanner in the works if he decides it Thomas or their marriage. She wants to make sure Hope has really thought it through and is able to love with her decision personally and professionally. They are going out on a proverbial limb to give HFTF a last chance. Steffy’s bum is on the line here too. She answers to shareholders and doesn’t want to have personal issues between Thomas and Liam yank it. It’s business.
I don’t think Liam realised that Eric and Carter were also part of that process, and since Hope had to explain that they already tried to recruit other designers who didn’t work out etc. that Thomas really was the only chance they had to save it.
Im glad Liam is supporting Hope and her decision. Of course he should be vigilant regarding Thomas… Hope will be too this time around. She is desperate to save HFTF but she’s not putting up with any nonsense this time. Thomas best be on his very best behaviour at all times or he’s out on his arse.

BBFAN, I had been singing Steffy’s praises for many of her actions / appearance over the past month or two. But on Monday’s episode when she had a big smile on her face as she told Thomas that Hope’s conversation with Liam was not gonna go well, that registered on the Bitch-meter for sure! There was absolutely nothing funny about that as I stated in my earlier comment. Not sure why the idea of trouble in Hope’s and Liam’s marriage is comical to Steffy. But you know I’m gonna call em like I see em. Prior to this whole “shelving HFTF” threat, I had actually become a much bigger fan of Steffy.

Hope walked in at the same time and apologized for interrupting but Steffy told her it was fine and that she needed to talk to her about HFTF. DeleteBecause when Hope first suggested it 1) Steffy did not yet believe that Thomas had changed and 2) Steffy felt that Hope should talk to Liam about it first and not make a rash decision that could have consequences for her marriage. Hope even thanked Steffy for pointing it out to her and for stopping her from making a rash decision.
DeleteWhen Taylor made Steffy and Thomas talk and they had the heart to heart, at that point, Steffy saw that her brother was putting in the effort to genuinely change and so, she made the suggestion to Eric and Carter that they bring Thomas back on in order to save HFTF.
But the notion he had changed was also somehow forced on Steffy by Taylor. All she did was sing her kumbaya "find the love" which was ridiculous (as a family moment beautiful, but as a basis for bringing him into business and everyone's lives completely laughable). Steffy herself didn't really have any process of her own to realize he's changed and changed enough to let loose on other people. Nobody did, Taylor made sure of that with her pushing.

We need to remember that in Soap land it’s been several months now that Thomas has been in therapy, HFTF is still on a downward spiral etc. So we Ignore what Hope herself said about searching for other designers because it wasn’t shown on screen that she interviewed them??
DeleteMmysh, that's why Steffy made sure to tell Hope that she did not have to accept Thomas back. Steffy gave Hope 2 options: put the line on pause or put Thomas back as Head Designer. Hope could have decided to put the line on pause which would have given her time to find another solution, but instead she chose to bring Thomas back. Steffy in no way forced Hope to choose Thomas. Hope did that on her own. There were also several suggestions right here that Hope could have taken HFTF to another company or she could have started her own company. So, it's not like she did not have any other choice. Her father-in-law is Bill Spencer! It's not like Hope would suffer if HFTF was backburnered for a bit.

Lynn I was thinking the same thing. Did the police/FBI come up with the fake exoneration, the fake blackmail? And was sleeping with her also FBI-mandated? 🤣 why involve Bill and Ridge in that? If they have been watching her then they'd know she's much more into Deacon than Bill and is more likely to spill to him. All a bit too messy, I hope they answer at least some of our questions with something halfway plausible. I hope they show us more police business and less dragged out Bill and Sheila conversations with that music that's haunting our nightmares.

For Hope to be attracted to him now can undo all the work that Thomas has done. Steffy fears that Thomas' obsession with Hope will be revived if Hope gives him the slightest bit of encouragement.

I think we forgetting Paris putting her oar in and stirring the pot with Thomas. The things she says to him cause more harm than good and she is more likely to bring what Hope said up to Thomas. She forced it out off Hope then spread it all over the office. I think she will play a role if/when Thomas goes dark again.

Milla I think Steffy has grow a lot as a person. I don’t think she’s wishing ill for Liam and Hope. Liam’s name is there because they share a daughter. Kelly is affected if things are bad between Hope and Liam. Beth and Douglas are also affected so of course Steffy has a reason to be worried. It will obviously affect Hope’s work on the line too. Steffy would feel some responsibility for it because she and the board are bringing Thomas back in and even though it work life should be separate from home life. In this case they are all so intertwined that just isn’t possible. So I think she has valid concerns and they are not at all about hurting or sticking it to Hope. Please allow that Steffy has grown and changed for the better. Finn’s been a positive influence on her for sure. I think she’s more than demonstrated that.

Yesterday I was told that conversation “would not be appropriate.” Then I reminded the person that buttinsky Taylor had inserted herself into this discussion MULTIPLE times. DeleteI am shocked Liam didn’t speak to Steffy about it! It would be completely appropriate since they are coparents and she’s been raising Douglas the last few months. I actually expected to see that in the episode.. Steffy could have explained the board’s decision and the steps they had taken to try and find a new designer as well as how they were making a last effort to save Hope’s line. She could have reassured him that she, Ridge etc would be watching Thomas closely and working with Hope so that she feels safe etc.

Just to clarify, I’m talking about a parent to parent conversation, not Liam telling Steffy how to do her job. They are still friends as well. I think that’s part of her concern for him. They clearly interviewed other designers in the “months” that occurred in soapy time … they had another showing with Eric/Zende designs that flopped. Hope told us… just because you didn’t see it onscreen you can’t say it didn’t happen.

If you watch the episode preceding the decision there is more of the discussion between the three in the meeting. We obviously saw snippets as is usual. Proposing something that is discussed and then decided on by a team isn’t the same as Steffy “deciding” . I think the bias against anything she does and constant assumption that there is a negative motive or that Steffy is incompetent is unwarranted.

It is very much unwarranted. I am also not sure that Steffy's ultimatum included HFTF being shelved. I am pretty sure I heard Steffy say that the line would be paused, as in, there would be no further production on the line. This makes me think that once an alternative solution was found, or another designer was hired for the line, that they would put it back into production. As such, Hope did not have to say yes to Thomas coming back, she could have said no and would have had the time to find another designer.
