can someone please instruct taylor how to wear a sweater? everytime she wears one, it's off one shoulder or both. not cute. her coy swishing around is also getting annoying.
Hope is going a tricky path not saying anything about Thomas to Liam. Wow Thomas saying Ridge alone "left their family" - not exactly true, but somehow better than putting it all on Brooke. Sheila and Bill already sporting a selfie on the fireplace π and Liam's cringe when Bill and Sheila kissed was hilarious. And yes tell us Bill the "reason" for God's sake!! Say it π
Yes milla im curious what that reason could be And i don’t know how hope didn’t told liam yet I know sometimes when the conversation is hard people tend to postpone it but its not hope’s usual behavior with liam But i guess liam will come around since brook is on bored with thomas going back to the line
@Milla I think Bradley Bell wants to play the "Clue" game theory with us, called "Can you guess, why Bill is with Sheila?" What I like to know what the prize would be if we guess it? Watching Sheila riding off into the sunset or watching live in person burying Sheila 6 feet under for good?
Thomas repeated what everyone else, including Ridge himself, had been saying for years. Ridge always took responsibility for leaving his family. During the Still storyline, Steffy also told Bill that Ridge was the one that had left their family. Thomas saying it showed consistency.
I know a lot of the Thomas naysayers on here wanted Thomas to suffer really bad however, I think bringing him back on to Hope's line is the best solution. He never should have been let go in the first place. Especially so soon after such a successful HFTF launch.
Ridge didn't leave his family. He left his marriage but he was always there for his kids, propping them up, taking their side even when they were in the wrong. Not living together doesn't mean not being a family. They wrote Ridge to "admit" this to highlight the whole Brooke controversy, it was always said in a context of justifying his love for her. But he also was saying back then, time and again, that him leaving Taylor doesn't mean him leaving his kids and he lived by that. And yes Thomas should have been let go like any other emoyee, no matter how stellar, would be in a normal company when doing malicious things. He knows he deserved it, they know it, Carter knows it. It was more than deserved and overdue. But now they'll give him yet another shot, more than anyone on any company would deserve if doing the things Thomas did. Let's see how long before he proves them wrong again π
PS They always wanted to create this guilt atmosphere of bad bad Ridge leaving his family for the S from the V, very modern notion for the early 2000s. But in reality, objectively, that was never true. Leaving Taylor doesn't equal leaving his kids. His kids perpetuating this guilt-tripping line doesn't make it true.
All I'm saying is that, for the sake of consistency, this is why Thomas said what he said about Ridge leaving. This is what has been pushed for years. What actually happened doesn't matter. This show has a history of pushing a belief even if it was never true. They never stay true to history. For example, they push the notion that Brooke was always Ridge's choice when, in fact, Brooke was always begging for his attention over the many women that he wooed. Also, there were men that Brooke were completely in love with (Nick and Deacon come to mind) but yet, those relationships were totalled disregarded in favour of some imagined Ridge/Brooke destiny. My opinion, of course.
I think they pushed that notion because in the end he always chose her and she him. She screwed up, he screwed up, both of them equally but they always found their way back. It’s a (toxic) romanticizing but it is what they showed us, their actions. That’s what I mean by claiming (also my opinion) what is true - what we see as actions. I didn’t see Ridge ever be a bad father to his kids, married or not to their mom.
He was (in my way of interpreting the show) even too much overcompensating (for leaving their mom) by blindly defending them, lashing out against anyone who pointed out their issues, claiming they are all peachy and only when things would get really bad, he’d admit they need professional help (like with Steffy‘s addiction and Thomas‘ obsession). But I think he didn’t abandon them. But I understand what you mean too.
As much as they are friends now, Brooke hasn't even apologized to Taylor for the many years of grief she brought her. They talked about the past and how their desperation to "win" Ridge forged the path they were on as enemies. But now that they are friends, it would have been nice if Brooke could have at least acknowledged that she was wrong for the many times she tried to get Ridge to leave Taylor. But I guess that would put a different spin on the Ridge and Brooke destiny/love story.
Apologizing for that would mean that she would mean it never should have happened and she would never think that. Her love story with Ridge is the backbone of her life (and the show), the reason for everything that happened in her life including all her children and her career. She could apologize for the pain that this caused to Taylor, but not for her actual life with Ridge. Plus let's not forget that Brooke was first in Ridge's heart (chronologically) and her pursuing him from her perspective was getting him back.
Sooooooo, she should't apologize for causing havoc in Taylor's life with Ridge? Taylor was Ridge's first wife whom he CHOSE to marry over Brooke. Even in spite of Brooke begging him to choose her. He instead ran off to find Taylor on some remote island. That doesn't say much for the supposed first love he had for Brooke back then if he so easily turned his back on her and married someone else.
And what does it say about his love for Taylor, leaving her at least 4 times over Brooke, three of them at the altar? π€£ The fact she was the first he married means nothing considering how that marriage went. By Ridge‘s own choice.
Thanks Mmysh especially this is true "we know why he married Taylor". I also remember what actually brought him to St Thomas and how (and why) he even broke up with Brooke before that.
Thanks, Mmysh. R.J. was born in June 2004 so he should be 19. I was afraid Bell would age him to 30 but this kid is 23 - a believable compromise. This could be interesting but more so would have been the return of Jack Marone which could cause a clash with the new besties due to the drama surrounding Jack’s birth.
Who would have ever thunk semi-dowdy Sheila, who they have attempted to glam-up, would be the most desirable woman on this show with not one but two attractive mature hunks wrapped around her little finger?
Milla, yes! That was a good one too! I think Liam’s character can be pretty witty. Liam gets a lot of flack from the bloggers. But I think he’s funny! π¬π¬π¬
Lynn they are just pissed he's with Hope, it's always a spillover of the Logan hate that goes to men too. If he was with Steffy it will be all sunshine. Liam is fantastic, he's a very smart likeable character with opinion who doesn't have to take off his shirt to be amazing.
Exactly milla even hope when she was defending thomas she was great but now she is whinny and selfish ππ But the whinny we have to take from steffy all these months was ok
Hahah indeed Mmysh. I must admit I was also bashing Hope at times when she was shown to be blindly defending Thomas. The truth is I think she’s very interesting character who can surprise you. Not to mention the actress is amazing.
Why has $Bill got the dowdiest sitting room? It's supposed to be a mansion he is living in. I've seen better in the Housing Projects here in Australia. π€π€π€
Looking forward to grownup Will returning as well as Eric jr daughter. Maybe they are setting up the summer storylines. It usually involves a few younger actors.
How has Thomas changed? And hope is going to ruine her marriage to liam.

ReplyDeleteI love Taylor’s sweater wish I had one it’s gorgeous
DeleteYES! Her attempts at cuteness with the shoulders is driving me nuts-- I'm about to quit watching again solely because I hate that shoulder thing.
Deletei'm going to make a prediction...sheila will convince dumb deacon to kill bill. she'll play up the 'he's going to kill me' rhetoric.

Brook has nothing to apologize for

DeleteYes RJ is cast. He is cute but seems quite young. He left after the Spectra sisters fiasco, age 19? Interning between high school & college?
DeleteMy favorite lines from today's show….
