Her line is made of specifics materials and guidelines that reflect care to the environment, and that is more expensive to make, and people would want something they really like, and going to utilise.. They won’t pay big bucks for something they will just shove in the cupboard to gather dust with the tag still on.. From Steffy’s point of view, she can’t allow the company to run at a loss because she is worried about how Hope will cope if they shut down the line.. She is not trying to hurt Hope, she is being realistic.. She has given the line a fair and reasonable go without Thomas as lead designer, but when it comes to the crunch, she has to do what’s best for the company, and Hope understands this, and was expecting this.. not so much bringing Thomas back, but her line being cut, she knew if it kept performing the way it is , that it was inevitable..

Steffy talked this over with Eric and Carter. This isn’t a unilateral decision. They just left it to her to deliver their decision to Hope regarding Thomas coming on board or HFTF being shelved. I’m sure she didn’t want to have to do it but the line is failing and if one remembers, that showing with Thomas was make or break for it. It has been failing for a long time.
I have a feeling Liam will be less than pleased. I’m guessing we’ll go through at least a week before Hope takes Thomas back as head designer to save her line.
