Lynn, I don't see anything from Thomas as yet that suggests that his focus is on getting Hope back. Yes, he tried to kiss her after their very successful launch last year. All it means though, is that he got caught up in the celebratory moment. What's important is that when Hope said no, he understood, respected her wishes and left it at that. That is actually a positive thing because it shows that his feelings for her are no longer obsessive.
I believe that Thomas' focus this time around is on being a good example to Douglas and ensuring that HFTF is a success. I dont see any longing for Hope right now. You have to remember that Hope and Thomas have been spending a lot of quality time together since they've been co-parenting Douglas, in addition to which, they've been working very closely together. Hope was happily going over to Eric's on a frequent basis to spend nights with Douglas. Of course, she and Thomas would be interacting. This was alluded to when Thomas had said to her one time "See you later?" and Hope's response was "I'm looking forward to it." It's only natural that an attraction would begin to form. I’m concerned that Thomas will read Hope’s joy at having him back as her wanting a relationship with him. I’m sure she’s relieved he’s already pumping designs out but she does appear to be almost flirting with him. I’m not say she is or it is intentional but I could see him misinterpreting her behaviour as something more.
I think Steffy is concerned that Thomas will be fixated again. She doesn’t want him to backtrack and lose any progress he’s made to be a better person.
I've said the same thing before, BBFan. Steffy's concern is relative to HFTF and how it stands to be affected if Hope gives Thomas any kind of encouragement. She has also warned her brother about becoming obsessed with Hope again and really does not want to see him go down that road again.
I will also say though, that Thomas seems to be totally focused on work and not on Hope. Hope going against her husband to bring Thomas back on the line and working so closely with him is all Hope's doing. Noone is forcing her. She can choose to keep her distance from Thomas rather than being so close with him, but it seems she enjoys being around him, and it is more than just being happy about HFTF coming back out on top.

Hope needs to keep her guard up, and be honest with herself. As soon as she starts to feel even a little attraction to Thomas she should take a big step back. @Miss_s they are trying to get her to admit to killing 2 men in the past, 2 unsolved murder cases. She killed one using bees stinging him, and another she pushed off a balcony. They can’t keep her in prison for life because Steffy and Finn were only attempted murder. If she confesses to the past unsolved it would keep her in prison and she could never get out.
For first degree murder or attempted first degree murder, they would have to prove without a doubt that Sheila had both the mens rea (pre-meditation) and actus reus when she committed the crime. For Finn, she definitely did not have the mens rea since she never planned on killing him. Neither did she initially plan on murdering Steffy either. She shot Steffy because she was about to call 911. It was intent after the fact such as with crimes of passion. The prosecutor however, might be able to prove attempted manslaughter. Manslaughter does not generally carry a life term and Sheila will be able to get parole after a while.

ReplyDeleteInteresting turn of events with Steffy and Hope today. Steffy has known Hope long enough to see right through her.
ReplyDeleteI also recall after Liam and Steffy slept together, Liam was questioning whether his wife was indeed attracted to Thomas. Back then, he felt that Hope continually giving Thomas the benefit of the doubt and letting him back into her life was indicative of how she truly felt about him.
Just imagine both father and daughter being attracted to people they shouldn't be attracted to. 🤣🤣🤣
I’m concerned that Thomas will read Hope’s joy at having him back as her wanting a relationship with him. I’m sure she’s relieved he’s already pumping designs out but she does appear to be almost flirting with him. I’m not say she is or it is intentional but I could see him misinterpreting her behaviour as something more.
DeleteI think Steffy is concerned that Thomas will be fixated again. She doesn’t want him to backtrack and lose any progress he’s made to be a better person.
I've said the same thing before, BBFan. Steffy's concern is relative to HFTF and how it stands to be affected if Hope gives Thomas any kind of encouragement. She has also warned her brother about becoming obsessed with Hope again and really does not want to see him go down that road again.
DeleteI will also say though, that Thomas seems to be totally focused on work and not on Hope. Hope going against her husband to bring Thomas back on the line and working so closely with him is all Hope's doing. Noone is forcing her. She can choose to keep her distance from Thomas rather than being so close with him, but it seems she enjoys being around him, and it is more than just being happy about HFTF coming back out on top.
Agree ladies...I've mentioned before I think Hope "still" has feelings for Thomas but was told Hope never had feelings for him. I thought a few yrs ago, I was watching off and on, was Hope not engaged to Thomas? But Steffy was somehow involved and Hope got really upset about it and called it off? There have been quite a few glances Hope gives Thomas that look flirty, but Bbfan I do hope Thomas this time stays in line and proves he's changed. Let Hope be the one that becomes obsessed. 😆 🤣 I'm going to get an ear full on this comment.
DeleteWhy the 🔥 not, D? That would be an interesting twist. The writers could give milquetoast Hope a brain tumor so that she has DID where she is the baddie 🤣 which would finally give her character some depth. They do have onscreen chemistry which made me curious if they could be dating IRL. Matthew is 34 and has a gorgeous gf and Annika, 36, with a Christmas Eve birthday a few days earlier than Matthew’s, was engaged a few years ago but I don’t see recent mentions of him. I approve of your version, D. 👏🏻

DeleteHope needs to keep her guard up, and be honest with herself. As soon as she starts to feel even a little attraction to Thomas she should take a big step back. Bill might have to propose to Sheila to get her to confess everything she's done. Wow! Deacon tells Sheila they can't see each other anymore, then he took it back 3 seconds later. What an idiot. He deserves whatever bad consequence he gets.
ReplyDeleteYou know, I'm curious about why Ridge and Bill are not questioning Deacon's involvement with Sheila. It's like they already knew that he was involved with her. They aren't saying much about him.
DeleteI agree that Hope needs to be honest with herself. She enjoys being close to Thomas way too much. Bringing him back to the line is one thing, but she does not have to work so closely with him, especially knowing how her husband feels.
I still say Deacon somehow is involved in the sting.

They want her to try to kill someone again ? This is beyond stupid, it's just to make the show more longer

Delete@Miss_s they are trying to get her to admit to killing 2 men in the past, 2 unsolved murder cases. She killed one using bees stinging him, and another she pushed off a balcony. They can’t keep her in prison for life because Steffy and Finn were only attempted murder. If she confesses to the past unsolved it would keep her in prison and she could never get out.
ReplyDeleteUnder California Penal Code §664/…, “Attempted first degree murder is punished by life in prison.” So, yes, this is 🐂💩.
DeleteFor first degree murder or attempted first degree murder, they would have to prove without a doubt that Sheila had both the mens rea (pre-meditation) and actus reus when she committed the crime. For Finn, she definitely did not have the mens rea since she never planned on killing him. Neither did she initially plan on murdering Steffy either. She shot Steffy because she was about to call 911. It was intent after the fact such as with crimes of passion. The prosecutor however, might be able to prove attempted manslaughter. Manslaughter does not generally carry a life term and Sheila will be able to get parole after a while.
