Finn is a good husband and father and I appreciated that he and Steffy don’t want their children to suffer any damage with the drama surrounding Douglas living there.

Liam and Finn were both spot on in their responses and as fathers and husbands.
I thought Steffy was very respectful of Hope’s concerns and the pain she was feeling as a mother.
Everyone, including Douglas is viewing his time at Auntie Steffy’s as a temporary break from all the Thomas and Hope parenting drama. This isn’t forever, so Hope view it as an extended sleep away for Douglas. He will have fun then get homesick.
That way he isn’t in the middle of his parents for a wee while and when he goes back to Hope and Liam’s he has time (more than an evening) to work out with his parents what his life will be going forward.

I also see only love between them and especially from Liam (he's also the grown-up and more able to put his own feelings aside and prioritize Douglas). The way Liam is with Hope is also exceptional, the way he looks at her with so much warmth and genuine love. Hope she doesn't fall apart now ❤️

And Liam is honestly making me wish there were more parents like him (and he's not even trying to be one to Douglas!).
I'm betting there's going to be things happening, just by listening to Fin and Hope in their words and it's not going to end well for Stephanie and Finn. First, Finn really is not wanting Douglas to move in and voices why. Then he is thinking about when her and him got back together again after she thought he was dead. Then there's the fact where hope keeps talking about Douglas being safe and then keeps urging Stephanie to watch over him because of the cliff. I don't know exactly what's going to go down of course, but I wouldn't be afraid to bet that Douglas will be in the middle of an accident happening with one of Stephanie's kids at the cliff and if that happens that's going to blow fan and Stephanie's marriage out of the water not to mention the fact Sheila getting involved really bad. Wait and see what they come up with and see how it plays out but I think they've got something more in mind than just a rift between Thomas and Stephanie and Finn.
Antiques, I saw Finn’s reminiscing about Monaco more as reminding himself about how much he has to be grateful for. How much he loves his wife and that while not ideal, having Douglas there is something he can support Steffy in. In the grand scheme of things it’s nothing compared to what they have already overcome.
I wonder if the real reason the writers have Douglas living at Steffy's house is so he can solve a mystery or witness Sheila creeping around or worse - taking baby Hayes. We all know they do not lock doors, so it is just a matter of time before the 9-toed genius sneaks in the cliff house to see her precious grandson... 🐾

First because he expressed his feelings about Thomas ("he has been through enough... Starting with having Thomas as a father" 😅🙈) and second because of his own children and his unwillingness to make them witness drama. And also the expression on Steffy's face (magnified by them scary ass eyebrows) when they hugged didn't speak for sunny beach times only on the horizon 🙈
I just don’t understand why can Liam and Steffy make it work with Kelly - she lives with Steffy and they share custody but with Douglas it’s a permanent drama. I mean I know - it’s Thomas and his constant need to stick it to Hope and Liam. He makes it always about him and how much he "needs" his son, to hell with what's best for the kid.
Mmysh to this day I haven't watched that moment with stillborn "Beth" because I knew I couldn't take it 🙈 I'm sure she did too good a job and I would have broken down with her.
Milla, Liam and Steffy are rational humans and said from the beginning that it was imperative that Kelly feel loved and nurtured by both of her parents.
I remember how Steffy and Hope called a truce for the sake of their daughters joy growing up in a war like they did.
They have had their issues for sure but it’s clear that between Liam, Hope, Steffy and Finn they do a fantastic job co-parenting the bairns.
Thomas isn’t rational, I’d say he’s on the sociopath side there with Sheila. Sadly he doesn’t see what he does as wrong and can rationalise anything!

I feel Douglas is going to see what I ALWAYS Believe that Finn is Hiding who he really is . I ALWAYS felted there is something Finn is Hiding about himself from Stephanie!!

Touching end to the episode, my heart breaks for Hope. It seems Douglas didn't want to choose between his parents, even though Thomas is rather dodgy at times, Douglas still loves him and most likely didn't want to hurt his dad's feelings by choosing Hope, therefore he opted to stay with Aunt Steph. The hug between Douglas and Hope at the end spoke volumes. I just hope it all works out in the end for everyone including Little D.
Lutfiyya I would agree with you. This way he is a neutral place and can have a break and just be a carefree wee lad as he should be at age 10!!!
He clearly needs a break from all the drama for a minute and making such a massive decision at his age was far too much pressure for wee man. So win win for Douglas out of a lose lose situation. I’m sure he’ll be back at Hope’s before long. For now he gets a reprieve from the pressure to choose a parent and has fun with his cousins.
Shame I feel for Hope,Liam and Finn. Only one happy is Douglas. It's an interesting story here to unfold. But we need Sheila sorted out first. Thanks Bob

ReplyDeleteAnd as some of us have already stated, it’s not because Hope hasn’t been a good mom that Douglas wants to go. It’s because a 10 year old wants to have fun. 🙄🙄🙄🙄. And sure, what kid wouldn’t want to live right on the beach??!! This just solidifies why the judge wouldn’t have allowed this Steffy / Douglas custody thing!! This has ZERO to do with Hope not being a great mom like the Logan fans have been saying all along!!!
Thomas is so sickening. I can’t believe he actually believed Douglas would pick him over Hope!! Thomas is so damn delusional!! And I’m soooooo glad Eric called him out on it!! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
And just like Milla said, now Thomas thinks he’s gonna work his way back into Douglas’ good graces by making himself a constant presence at Steffy’s. But I honestly think Steffy and Finn are gonna push back on that. Talk about disrupting their home life!!! 😳😳😳. Finn will never stand for constant Thomas!!! And honestly, after what Hope and Steffy said to each other, I don’t think Steffy will allow it either. We’ll see.
I loved how Finn made it clear to Steffy that he did not want Kelly and Hayes to be negatively impacted by the Douglas addition to the family. So as we’ve said, Finn has a lot more on his mind than just the Thomas / Hope drama. Finn wants to protect his family unit and keep the dynamic the same as it’s been. And that won’t be possible with an extra child running around. This will affect Steffy and Finn’s relationship for sure!! Stay tuned! 😂😂😂😂

Lynn very true about Finn, you're very right he may start pushing back on Thomas' attempts to be at their house all the time. First because he expressed his feelings about Thomas ("he has been through enough... Starting with having Thomas as a father" 😅🙈) and second because of his own children and his unwillingness to make them witness drama. And also the expression on Steffy's face (magnified by them scary ass eyebrows) when they hugged didn't speak for sunny beach times only on the horizon 🙈
DeleteI just don’t understand why can Liam and Steffy make it work with Kelly - she lives with Steffy and they share custody but with Douglas it’s a permanent drama. I mean I know - it’s Thomas and his constant need to stick it to Hope and Liam. He makes it always about him and how much he "needs" his son, to hell with what's best for the kid.

Milla, Liam and Steffy are rational humans and said from the beginning that it was imperative that Kelly feel loved and nurtured by both of her parents.
DeleteI remember how Steffy and Hope called a truce for the sake of their daughters joy growing up in a war like they did.
They have had their issues for sure but it’s clear that between Liam, Hope, Steffy and Finn they do a fantastic job co-parenting the bairns.
Thomas isn’t rational, I’d say he’s on the sociopath side there with Sheila. Sadly he doesn’t see what he does as wrong and can rationalise anything!

Douglas Refused to keep Brooke Secret that she asked him to do kissing Deacon, Douglas Refused to keep his Father Secret the GPS call. DeleteTouching end to the episode, my heart breaks for Hope. It seems Douglas didn't want to choose between his parents, even though Thomas is rather dodgy at times, Douglas still loves him and most likely didn't want to hurt his dad's feelings by choosing Hope, therefore he opted to stay with Aunt Steph. The hug between Douglas and Hope at the end spoke volumes. I just hope it all works out in the end for everyone including Little D.

DeleteHe clearly needs a break from all the drama for a minute and making such a massive decision at his age was far too much pressure for wee man. So win win for Douglas out of a lose lose situation. I’m sure he’ll be back at Hope’s before long. For now he gets a reprieve from the pressure to choose a parent and has fun with his cousins.
