I think after what Douglas just said about how he felt like he was in a tug of war with his parents, it’s obvious he is really struggling emotionally and craving to have some normalcy in his life.. Steffy recognises this, and wants to bring back the balance in his life.. If she lets Thomas just come when ever he wants, he will be there constantly.. He said it himself, “now my sons living here, that means I will be too”.. something along those lines.. Hope will come over and see Thomas is always there, then this will cause more conflict, but it will be even worse because Steffy will be accused of siding and not looking out for Douglas’ best interest.. She is trying to stop all of that, which means setting boundaries for all parties.. He has had to deal with so much grown up issues, and he sees Kelly and Hayes’s life, and desperately wants that kind of environment for himself, where he can just be a kid, without worries and feeling like he is the cause of all the conflict between the adults.. Steffy wants to give him space to stop and breathe, and feel normal again.. especially after everything he has been through in his life.. who could blame him..

Gosh when did Steffy side with Hope? Nothing like that happened. It’s obvious she has only Douglas best interest in mind (and whoever knows me I only give Steffy credit when she really deserved it in my critical eyes 😂). I don’t believe she will let Hope and Liam waltz in her house any more than Thomas, that’s not some vendetta against him. I knew Thomas had something up his sleeve, he wants to use his sister to his advantage to come see Douglas whenever he wants, correction, he wanted to move himself into Steffy's house so he could slither his way back in getting Douglas to trust him again. I can see that Thomas thinks he is psychologically okay, but he isn't. I'm glad Steffy set some boundaries with Thomas, and I am also glad Finn came down to defend his wife. As we can see he has a revengeful attitude, and I don't think Douglas needs to be around Thomas Jekyll & Thomas Hyde.
You can see physical changes in Thomas. His hair has gone a bit wild, his beard scruffy and his clothes don't fit as well as they used to. You can see the tension in his jaw and shoulders, and oh my the crazy eyes are coming back! I think Douglas may be the smartest, sanest and most mature of the whole cast. And he rocks a suit better than anyone.
Brooke and Taylor now that you're such pals would be a perfect time to remember that you have a common kid - one is the biological mom the other - legal. It's only been 20 years since you last mentioned him! How can you just forget Jack?!?!

Ohhh that would be amazing!!! Nick himself was great and he had a beautiful chemistry with both women (maybe even better with Taylor! I can imagine with this Taylor too actually!) and a storyline especially now, with Jack, would be very interesting. Will it put them back at odds or let them prove their bond is real? And yes well done Steffy and Finn. I'm not happy that Thomas is separated from his child, nobody deserves that... But he's not making any effort to be better. Douglas has made it clear just how much he loves and values Hope.

I was reading a soap article that was talking about what Thomas could do if he is not back at the company. The writers are thinking that if Thomas is not allowed to get back at Forrester's, the writers may be possibly following a pattern of what Ridge did back in 2002 when he left Forrester and started his own fashion business and went against his father and his brother Thorne, so lets see where his future will go.
She is constantly talking about Douglas as if she died. Give that kid a break for a few days snd he'll run back to Hope. She needs to have faith in her hard work she gave. That's all. Mmysh my son left home early to become a the brilliant man who he is today. Mom's need faith and trust. Douglas is not dying. He's taking a breath. Liam is her victim. A cry baby constantly. Hope is literally reeling from the idea of potentially losing Douglas for good. We have had to listen to Forrester characters go on for weeks and weeks about far far less. So give Hope a break! This is literally just happening to her!
My guess is Thomas is gonna kidnap Douglas. Thomas will never stop scheming. If he doesn’t get what his selfish heart wants, he will do WHATEVER it takes to get it!!! I agree lama. Finn and Steffy need to work out some sort of visitation with Thomas and Douglas and Hope and Douglas instead of pushing Thomas out of his son's life. I did not like the fact that Steffy told Thomas that she promised Hope. Thomas did not need to know that. Steffy could be the protective guardian without throwing Hope in Thomas' face. They are all acting like Thomas is a danger to Douglas when he's not. Both Thomas and Douglas maybe need to get some father/son counselling BUT it has to be after Thomas gets some serious therapy of his own.

I think the family is trying to get Thomas to seek help. That’s why Steffy told him that. She should know… remember she went to rehab for her painkiller addiction, just like Brooke and Taylor got help for alcoholism, and many of them have gone through therapy.
The family have decided to stop enabling him.
They are preventing him from having a relationship with Douglas, Steffy is legally and morally responsible for Douglas’s welfare. It’s her job to make sure Thomas is appropriately interacting with his son while in her care.
I would lose respect for her if she gave him a free pass. Even Taylor has recognised he needs serious help!

Lynn Nick is not dead 😀 they showed him if you remember, in the 35 anniversary episode and Brooke said she's following his career. I think he inherited the Marone business which means Jack probably is the head of that business now. Ah they broke up because he cheated on her with her daughter 🙈 and Brooke was in love with Ridge anyway. Then Nick married Bridget a few more times and both of them cheated on each other and broke up🙈he was no angel! In the end I found most astonishing the following - he and his mom were stealing Hope for the future designs from Hope, the same Hope he adored as a child and was helping Brooke raise. But I'd still want him back 😀😀

But I have never heard one single person say anything about Bridget’s indiscretions. Oh yes Brooke was involved with Nick first, then Bridget married him (don't know how that happened and why was ok😅) but he was still in love with Brooke and finally Bridget let him go :/ that's when this wedding happened. Afterwards he turned back to Bridget 😅🙈 Btw they also had a lot of pain and trauma with miscarriages :( which sometimes brought them close sometimes tore them apart. And yes Nick is alive for sure and filthy rich as it seems 😅, so the hope is real that he resurfaces in their lives 🤩🤩🤞🏼🤞🏼
I think the cabin is cute. Everyone is so critical of it. It’s not a dungeon for goodness sake. It’s a little cabin on gorgeous grounds with beautiful tall trees and plenty of nature surrounding!! Lighten up on the cabin negativity. I think it would be awesome to live there!

@teamstephy, yes, it is, but that’s not the reason he wants to live with Steffy.. as others have just mentioned, he has all the “fun” and luxury amenities there, and plenty of space to run around and explore and have fun.. Douglas explained why he asked to live with Steffy, and it has nothing to do with material things.. He has everything a kid could want at hopes place, and it doesn’t matter to him.. what matters is how he feels like the meat in the sandwich, with a lot of emotional issues that a kid should not have to deal with..
Colly totally agree. Yes the cabin and the amenities are there but at Stef's the amenities are there also. It's a change but with no tension or feeling like he's walking on egg shells. He needs a break and with Finn, Stef and Kelly he's relaxed and wants that normal surroundings. And not listen to arguing all the time with Liam Hope and Thomas. And sorry...I do blame Hope and Thomas for their stupidity. Hope (because she was so sure of herself); should have read the fine lines before agreeing to bring all this to the courts and Thomas for putting the poor kid to make a decision like this. Still haven't seen Friday's yet but going to sit down now and watch today's.
I think the thought of knowing that who ever he chose was going to be a permanent decision and he won’t be able to change his mind later if he wanted to, was too big of a decision and commitment for him to handle.. it’s not like when he wanted to live with Thomas, before Thomas screwed that up, he knew he just had to say the word and he could go back to the other parent.. but with the tension and animosity between his parents, he knows if one gets full legal custody, they might prevent him from having access to the other, particularly the way Hope and Liam were acting the other day, in front of Douglas, they could not have made it clearer to Douglas what was going on.. They could have had the supervised visit, but not shown the animosity.. they know he picks up on stuff like that.. and if he chooses later on that he wants something different, he may not be listened to and be able to have a say, because of how they are acting toward each other.. if his parents were fine with each other, I don’t think he would feel so out of sorts about it.. Thomas AND Hope, brought this on themselves.. even though Hope was making it sound like she was listening, if Douglas had of said Thomas, when they had that conversation, Hope would not have signed those papers or goons through with it.. she did it because Douglas told them he wanted to stay with her and Liam.. well she was over confident and it back fired.. I completely understand why Douglas chose the path he did.. I just hope that Steffy doesn’t take sides, and does what’s best for Douglas, because that’s what he is counting on, her to be neutral, and give him a voice..

I can see that Thomas thinks he is psychologically okay, but he isn't. I'm glad Steffy set some boundaries with Thomas, and I am also glad Finn came down to defend his wife. As we can see he has a revengeful attitude, and I don't think Douglas needs to be around Thomas Jekyll & Thomas Hyde.

You can see physical changes in Thomas. His hair has gone a bit wild, his beard scruffy and his clothes don't fit as well as they used to. You can see the tension in his jaw and shoulders, and oh my the crazy eyes are coming back! I think Douglas may be the smartest, sanest and most mature of the whole cast. And he rocks a suit better than anyone.

DeleteElle, we have all said he didn’t want to hurt either parent and that’s why he chose Steffy so he wouldn’t have to choose. You had said he chose Steffy so he wouldn’t have to be monitored by Hope when Douglas was with Thomas. And that was never mentioned by Douglas as a concern. Douglas has made it clear just how much he loves and values Hope.

The writers are thinking that if Thomas is not allowed to get back at Forrester's, the writers may be possibly following a pattern of what Ridge did back in 2002 when he left Forrester and started his own fashion business and went against his father and his brother Thorne, so lets see where his future will go.

There are rules/expectations for both of the parents and Thomas is not listening.
Steffy and Finn are trying to create a stable environment for ALL of the children in the home.
It’s about time someone set boundaries with Thomas.
Steffy and Finn are focused on Douglas and what he needs, not catering to Thomas’s whims or Hope’s. They will be fair but Douglas’s welfare comes first.

I did not like the fact that Steffy told Thomas that she promised Hope. Thomas did not need to know that. Steffy could be the protective guardian without throwing Hope in Thomas' face. They are all acting like Thomas is a danger to Douglas when he's not. Both Thomas and Douglas maybe need to get some father/son counselling BUT it has to be after Thomas gets some serious therapy of his own.

Then Nick married Bridget a few more times and both of them cheated on each other and broke up🙈he was no angel! In the end I found most astonishing the following - he and his mom were stealing Hope for the future designs from Hope, the same Hope he adored as a child and was helping Brooke raise. But I'd still want him back 😀😀

@teamstephy, yes, it is, but that’s not the reason he wants to live with Steffy.. as others have just mentioned, he has all the “fun” and luxury amenities there, and plenty of space to run around and explore and have fun.. Douglas explained why he asked to live with Steffy, and it has nothing to do with material things.. He has everything a kid could want at hopes place, and it doesn’t matter to him.. what matters is how he feels like the meat in the sandwich, with a lot of emotional issues that a kid should not have to deal with..

And sorry...I do blame Hope and Thomas for their stupidity. Hope (because she was so sure of herself); should have read the fine lines before agreeing to bring all this to the courts and Thomas for putting the poor kid to make a decision like this. DeleteI think the thought of knowing that who ever he chose was going to be a permanent decision and he won’t be able to change his mind later if he wanted to, was too big of a decision and commitment for him to handle.. it’s not like when he wanted to live with Thomas, before Thomas screwed that up, he knew he just had to say the word and he could go back to the other parent.. but with the tension and animosity between his parents, he knows if one gets full legal custody, they might prevent him from having access to the other, particularly the way Hope and Liam were acting the other day, in front of Douglas, they could not have made it clearer to Douglas what was going on.. They could have had the supervised visit, but not shown the animosity.. they know he picks up on stuff like that.. and if he chooses later on that he wants something different, he may not be listened to and be able to have a say, because of how they are acting toward each other.. if his parents were fine with each other, I don’t think he would feel so out of sorts about it.. Thomas AND Hope, brought this on themselves.. even though Hope was making it sound like she was listening, if Douglas had of said Thomas, when they had that conversation, Hope would not have signed those papers or goons through with it.. she did it because Douglas told them he wanted to stay with her and Liam.. well she was over confident and it back fired.. I completely understand why Douglas chose the path he did.. I just hope that Steffy doesn’t take sides, and does what’s best for Douglas, because that’s what he is counting on, her to be neutral, and give him a voice..
