That dress was all kinds of weird, too short on the bottom and overwrought and old-woman-ish on the top.

Mmysh I don’t believe Hope will cross the line, I think they are teasing us. It’s so annoying how they keep playing Brooke’s voice over and over, as if that’s all that influences Hope. This bad boy cliche is so tired. Plus a bit contradictory now that Thomas is presented as good and improved which is only when Hope started noticing him.

But there is nothing true about that. What specific things make you draw that conclusion?? She has NEVER had an attraction to Thomas before now. In fact, she has only ever felt pity for him when everyone else threw in the towel on him becoming a reformed man. Hope always finds forgiveness. We all know that to be true. I think that whole scene with the sommelier and the grandson was awful. I think both of them were ridiculously corny and the acting was bad! B&B is trying to be funny. But it’s a swing and a miss!!

Mmysh, you are absolutely correct! All we have ever seen is Hope be completely and totally in love with her husband, Liam! It wasn’t until these ridiculous fantasies started that we had any reason to think that Hope gave Thomas a second thought. And I mean why would she??? She has always completely adored Liam 100%!!!

DeleteI get the feeling that Hope is over being the paragon of virtue 🤭🤭 and being told who and what she is. She wants to be a rebel, be a bad lass and has outgrown her relationship with Liam that was a teenage crush that she was told was undying love. I believe she loves Liam, but am not so sure she’s in love with him anymore. There was always a huge power imbalance there and she’s done with that dynamic. She wants to be loved and respected as a woman in her own right. Liam had always put himself and his wants and needs first.
He also has a long history of waffling. I think Hope wants a man who is only passionate and loves her with all his heart.
We shall see.
BB, they would rather believe that Brooke's bad boy talk with Hope is what triggered her feelings for Thomas. All of the time they've spent together working on the HFTF launch, parenting Douglas and spending nights at Eric's couldn't possibly have caused Hope to become attracted to Thomas. Nooooooo..... in just 2 short weeks, these feelings magically appeared to the point where Hope's husband is on top of her, making love to her and all Hope can see is Thomas' face. 2 magical weeks! 🤦🏻♀️

Elle, you see things very differently than I do.
DeleteI see Hope being happy (months ago) that Douglas had a dad who actually - FINALLY - stepped up!! She was happy for Douglas that Thomas was being a good dad, a dad that Hope felt Douglas deserved! She wanted them to have that bond because of her love for Douglas!!! Her going to Eric’s had ZERO to do with her wanting Thomas in any romantic way! And the proof in the pudding was the attempted kiss on Eric’s couch. Hope set Thomas straight right then and there. She would have reciprocated that kiss and let it happen if any part of her “wanted” Thomas. But you clearly gloss over that fact!!
And the fact that Hope had the thought of Thomas’ hands on her during a previous fitting proves absolutely nothing. Think of it this way….someone you have always thought of as just a friend is now starting to be on your mind more and more. You would think of past interactions you had with that person in your fantasy if you were starting to see this person in a different light now. The truth is, she had no “daydreams” when the actual fitting occurred months or years ago. And that’s because she had zero feelings for him at the time of the old fitting you are referring to.
And we have talked about the talk with Paris about 50 times. Hope admitted Thomas was attractive under total duress. It’s not like she just blurted it out to Paris on a whim.
I love Milla’s observation that this whole thing is ridiculous because Thomas isn’t even a bad boy anymore. He’s now supposedly the “good boy” so the whole being attracted to the “bad boy” premise doesn’t even hold true now!!
We will see what tomorrow’s show brings. I still don’t think there is any remote possibility that Thomas and Hope have ANY romantic future together. None at all.
BBFAN, I find it funny that you seem to be the only one who understands “soap time.” You have no idea how long RJ has been back in soap time. Anymore than you know how long in soap time any of the events you are referring to have taken place.

And yes, the only way the story would make sense for Hope to truly fall for Thomas is if they make her crazy! Or we find out later that Hope suffered a brain injury as well. Cuz no sane Hope is gonna want Thomas!!

smh..Elle your beating a dead horse. It was not wishful interpretation on your part. Hope did have feelings for Thomas long before and Brooke even questioned her before that whole bad boy conversation. The body language was there before her fantasies , but then I was asked if I'm an expert on that because no one else could see it or want to believe it. Just like the scene with Hope seeing Thomas instead of Liam when they were making out, right away we we're making false facts.

DeleteDear Lynn, there was alot of conversations going on about the body language Hope was showing towards Thomas before the whole fantasy thing started, maybe you missed all that. Right away I was told "oh so your a body language expert?" Hope wasn't with Liam when I started watching, or maybe he was, but at that time he was back and forth with Sally, Steffy and who knows who else. I was watching bits and pieces. So no I might not know all the history but can see she's not that happily in love with Liam right now.

Also, Thomas and Hope were at war after the CPS call, which is why Thomas came up with the idea to let Douglas choose. He was just as disenchanted with Hope as she was with him, and wanted to take Douglas from her. It was merely a lover's quarrel. 🤭 It happens all the time and means nothing when two people are attracted to each other. Matter of fact, it's par for the course.

DeleteD - Liam was not going back and forth with Sally during the time you and I have been watching the show. You are confusing Liam with Wyatt. And the time you are referring to when Liam was hanging around Steffy was because Hope was so incredibly depressed after thinking her newborn child, Beth had died at birth. She actually told Liam to go be with Steffy and take care of the family he had with Steffy. Hope was in a very, very dark place after she thought Beth died at birth. It had zero to do with her not loving Liam. She’s only ever been with Liam sexually since I started watching the show, and I’ve been watching longer than you by at least a year or more. She hasn’t cheated on him once in the 5 years I’ve been watching. So as I already said, you are making a HUGE leap by assuming she is no longer in love with Liam. I didn’t read any comments about Hope’s body language prior to the recent daydreams she has been having. But I don’t read most of the comments on the blog because there are too many. Just because some of the FF’s supposedly mentioned body language, doesn’t make it true. I pointed out very specific examples in my earlier comment which disprove Hope having earlier feelings for Thomas. You didn’t address those specific examples I gave.

Are you or whoever wrote this in her stomach? And I can find you articles showing all kinds of interpretations on every character. Doesn't trump what was SHOWN on the screen.

I wasn't trying to trump anyone's interpretation, just saying that I (and a few others here) are not the only ones who believe that Hope has been having feelings for Thomas since last year. You act as though it is FACT that Hope did not have feelings for Thomas before Brooke's bad boy talk. It's just your opinion though, just like it's mine that she did. And a lot of others feel the same way.

Delete@Tina When B&B started having Charlie in the picture, I always thought he looks like a nice guy, now the writers make him look like the guy is losing it that he can't catch a criminal in the act anymore, and that he just waltz's right into the room and interrupts and making Ridge and the others irritated at him and that's sad. Ridge is really pushing him to get into designs, especially with fashion and the poor kid doesn't wan't to get into that field. Tina, Bradley Bell has ruined this soap program, his ideas ARE NOT what his father William ideas were. He has mostly destroyed this soap and has not made it ever successful.

Brooke didn't trigger Hope's sudden interest in Thomas, the interest was already there. Brooke made Hope realize that she is, in fact, her mother's daughter and that's when we started to see Hope's struggle about Thomas.

So all the circumstances was perfect if she has a shred of feelings for him at least she kissed him back for seconds
But the truth of what happened she didn’t only stopped him she was sooo strict and straight with strong tune saying I LOVE LIAM I LOVE MY HUSBAND
I still see her now stupid and naive for having these feelings after all the horrific things he‘s done

ReplyDeleteThe scenes with Deacon, Jimmie Walker, and that little "I love corn" kid were a waste of time, and not funny at all. Walker needs to stick to the Medicare commercials. He's probably like 70. He doesn't look like he would be a wine expert. As for Thomas and Hope. I would think after the last alteration incident when she ended up falling on top of him, they would use a model or a mannequin. Charlie needs to retire. Just go away! Would anyone feel safer at work with him as the head of security? I can tell his scenes are meant to be funny, but they are not at all.
ReplyDeleteThank you. A few episodes ago some "unknowns" jumped at Charlie's defense when I pointed out how painful to watch his "funny" scenes are. Now it seems everyone is agreeing, poor guy (and actor) should retire.
